"We are so happy with the floors insallted in our large assembly hall at Valley Christian! We have heard of the work Floor Coverings has done in residential homes, and we are so pleased to see such great work at our school in such a large space! The flooring completely transformed this 3,500 square foot space, even more so than the paint and different things we did on the walls. Deb was super responsive, and they even finished the job a day before she originally quoted. It has now been a full year since they were installed, and they are holding up incredibly well and still look like new. Would absolutely work with Deb and Floor Coverings of Chandler again!"

"The team at Best Floor Coatings was diligent, professional and a pleasure to work with. They did an incredible job with my project and were prompt each day for the project. They even accommodated the rainy weather by coming on a Sunday to finish my job. I highly recommend Best Floor Coatings and have already provided several neighbors their contact info. "My installers were Rod, Ray, and Fernando. They did an incredible job on my floor! They worked hard, but didn't rush. I really appreciated that. I will hire Guardian Garage Floors again if the need arises. They are Veteran owned, and have competitive prices."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

Carpets in earthy, neutral shades should go with everything. Specifically, colors like beige, cream, and gray pair well with other neutrals and more vibrant colors. If you’re concerned about your carpet clashing with your walls or furniture, stay away from loud colors and complicated patterns, which could distract from the rest of your decor.

Yes. You can tile over tile if the old tile is in good shape, but this will also create a thicker floor. As a result, you may have to remove and readjust baseboards and other room trimmings and potentially even raise door heights to work with the higher floors. In most projects, it’s best to remove the old tile before installing a new tile floor.

The toilet flange anchors to the subfloor, usually with wood screws or cement screws, but most of it should sit above floor level at full height. When a flange is flush with the subfloor or below it, it can lead to the creation of leak paths.

While many hardwood floors can last decades with proper maintenance, choosing a harder wood type, like hickory, can help extend the life span of your hardwood floors and reduce the amount of maintenance needed to keep them looking new and shiny. Softer hardwoods, like walnut, may not last quite as long as other types.

Yes, carpeted stairs are generally considered safer than stairs with hard surfaces like wood, vinyl, or tile. Carpet provides more traction and friction, which helps reduce the chances of slips and falls. Additionally, if a fall does occur, carpet offers more cushioning, which can lessen the severity of an injury. While hard surfaces can look great, they are often more slippery. However, it's worth noting that some carpets, especially if they are new, dirty, or have a slick texture, can also pose a slipping hazard. To improve safety on any type of stair surface, you can add traction treads to increase grip.
