"Pretty well. Cesar and his crew are masters at drywall repair and matching texture pattern. The work took a week which was little longer than originally expected but we added some items to the list. After the crew was finished painting and left, we noticed some spots that were missed (hard to see except in the morning light). Cesar was more than happy to come and fix the problem in a very timely manner. Cesar wanted to make sure we were happy with the job and went out of his way to make it all good."

"The contractors listed on this website have to pass certain criteria if they want to be listed here so it’s safe to say that most perform acceptable work. In addition to the obvious qualities a top notch contractor should possess, what Mr. Vegh provides that others may not is HEART. His business is in his heart and so the work he produces is nothing short of what he would do for himself or his family or anyone else he cares for. My house was a challenge because it is very old and had a lot of hidden problems. Mr. Vegh communicated every step of the way what he encountered and how he proposed to make repairs. He considered my budget and we came up with an acceptable plan that satisfied both parties. The end result was greater than expected. Thank you for bringing the sunshine inside my house!"

"Overall went really well Lawrence and his crew were very communicative. There will always be things that come up in a remodel and because of those things the project did push to the end of the desired timeline. Lawrence and his crew worked hard to make sure they were completed on time. I plan on using them for a kitchen remodel next year."

Basement Remodel questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can add a bathroom to an unfinished basement, but you’ll want to take proper precautions if doing so. As with any bathroom addition, you’ll need to make sure that it’s approved by local building authorities first. With unfinished basements, you especially need to keep an eye on proper ventilation practices.

A walkout basement is considered to be partially below grade because at least one wall is entirely exposed. In some cases and in specific municipalities, inspectors and appraisers will still count walkout basements as below grade, which means the space can’t serve as living space or be rented out. If you intend on using the area as living space or a separate apartment, you should check with your local building department to make sure it’s legal to do so.

You can paint your ceiling or install a drywall ceiling if the ceiling is unfinished, as they take up less headroom than drop ceilings.

If there are pipes in the way of ceiling installation, you can do one of two things: reroute the pipes or adjust the installation to fit, which will cost extra.

It is common for a contractor to ask for a down payment before starting a project, especially for jobs that require purchasing materials and equipment or hiring a crew. The deposit amount can range from 10% to 50% of the total job cost. While a request for up to 50% is not unusual, a contractor should not ask for more than that, and you should never pay for a project in full before the work has begun. To protect yourself, always discuss payment terms before starting and have a written contract that outlines the project timeline and expectations. Additionally, be sure to hire reputable contractors and check their licensing and insurance before the project begins.

Efficient appliance positioning, optimizing existing plumbing, and sourcing energy-efficient materials reduce financial impact and increase sustainability.
