"We hired Valentine-Blade Construction to replace the collapsed awning over our deck, which had failed under heavy snow load in January 2023. The project involved demolishing the damaged awning and deck, rebuilding the deck with new footings, and constructing a new awning. The work was completed on schedule and within budget, with exceptional quality and attention to detail. Valentine-Bladeâ s professionalism truly stood out. Their communication was top-notch; they kept me informed throughout the project with progress photographs and phone calls whenever decisions needed to be made. At one point, they discovered rot that would have compromised the structure. They quickly proposed a cost-effective solution that allowed the project to stay on track without delays. What impressed me most was their responsiveness. Within minutes of posting a request for a bid on Angie, Jake Valentine reached out to me. In contrast, other contractors either didnâ t respond or failed to follow through, even after I contacted them independently. "From beginning to end, Ricardo made sure to be thorough on what needed to be done and saw to it for full completion. He and his team did a full interior paint and understood where we were coming from and helped us repair and paint to be in a better situation. Very glad for frequent updates on the progress and was glad Ricardo had an eye for quality on his work. Thankful he and his team were able to repair/replace stucco that had mold on it, repair the source of a leak and install our new water heater. Ricardo is very knowledgeable in his craft and saw he was able to care for big items like our mold situation down to the garage door not properly opening. "I have had the opportunity to work with JC builders on a few different project's and There work is through and clean. They are qualified contractors and they do an excellent job from the framing to the drywall and paint. They did the remodel in my previous home which was a model home and I couldn’t have been happier with how it turned out. They built a beautiful outdoor wood deck for my father in law a few months ago complete with wood burning and stain. Thank you JC Builders you guys are the best!"

"It is a waste of money. The great majority of people are not going to find any value out of the service. If you need design consultation, you need a full service consultation. If you already have knowledge and experience, and you just need to get a few ideas, then you don't need to pay for that. You can just get a magazine or a book since you already have the knowledge of basic designs in your head or a little bit of experience. To have someone call you and give you information over the phone, you are not getting the personal service that you need. You may as well take the money $49 and apply it to something else like getting someone else to come out and give you the service that you need. Because, you are not getting much, you are not getting anything at all. They are going to have you do the work. After talking to them and I was talking to other home designers, I found out that that was a waste of time and waste of money. I gave them a C because they didn't fail at what they do but they don't offer any value for what they do. There's not much value to it. The cost was fair. They didn't do a terrible job and the cost isn't terrible, it was only $49. It just has a very low value. For responsiveness I gave them a B because they will answer your phone and answer your emails."

"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.  
Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs.
