"I can’t say enough good things about this cleaning team! Not only did they do an incredible job, every corner of my home was spotless. but they were also able to squeeze me in last minute, which I really appreciated. I had just gotten back from being out of town, the house was a mess (plus I have three dogs), and I honestly didn’t know where to start. They came in, worked quickly and thoroughly, and made my place feel like new again. I’ve used other cleaners before, but I’ve never been this impressed. Professional, efficient, and reliable. I’ll definitely be booking with them again!"

"George cleaned the carpet in the rental house we moved out of. And I must say, he did the best job I've ever seen. Those carpets looked amazing! Way better than what they looked like when we moved in. And another carpet cleaned the carpet prior to us moving in. He will defiantly get referrals and repeat business from us."

House Cleaning questions, answered by experts

Without treatment, pet dander can linger in the air for months—even if the pet is no longer in the home. These microscopic allergens often stick to furniture, bedding, and carpeting, causing long-term allergic reactions. Additionally, pet dander can enter a house on a person’s clothing or shoes—so, even if you don’t have pets at home, you could still have pet dander.

While a biohazard cleanup sounds like a scary process, knowing what to expect can help ease your concerns and set you up for success. It’s good to note that more than one professional might be needed depending on your situation, but that will be determined during the assessment. What you can expect during a home biohazard cleanup is the following:

  • Assessment: The first step in this process is for a biohazard cleanup professional to assess the damage. They create a report that includes the biohazard safety level, the needed damage cleanup, and the time it should take to complete the project.

  • Setup: The cleanup professional prepares the site to prevent cross-contamination and reduce toxicity risk. This process can include tarping and creating decontamination zones.

  • Removal of surface contamination: Any contaminated materials are removed from the area, starting with large materials followed by small ones. The professional can assess any floor-related damage once everything is removed from the site.

  • Salvaging items: The biohazard cleanup professionals assess which items can be saved and which are contaminated beyond the point of saving. Those deemed unsafe will be disposed of immediately.

  • Waste disposal: The next step is carefully disposing of the hazardous waste. Your professional will place the contaminated items in specific containers to keep the contamination from spreading.

  • Disinfection: The house will be disinfected and odor-neutralized. Even more minor details, like light switches and bulbs, will be disinfected so that they do not recontaminate the area in the future.

  • Restoration: Once the decontamination is complete, the last step is to restore the home. This includes repairing the damage to flooring, walls, or even the home's foundation.

Ozone smoke removal uses an ozone generator to eliminate stubborn odors from sources like house fires, wildfires, or cigarette smoke. Ozone (O3) is a highly reactive, unstable gas that neutralizes odors by oxidizing the organic compounds it comes into contact with. During this oxidation process, ozone "donates" its extra oxygen molecule to the smoke particles, effectively eliminating their smell, with oxygen being the primary byproduct. While ozone can be effective for removing smoke smells from building materials and belongings like wood furniture, this treatment is best left to a professional, as improper use of an ozone generator can be dangerous to your health.

Reducing household waste is the best way to save money on junk removal costs in the long run. Reusable kitchen, pantry, and cleaning supplies will make a large dent, as will creating an easy compost and recycling system in your home. Additionally, create an ongoing practice of recycling, donating, or repurposing items that are ready to go.

Whether or not a cleaner brings supplies also depends on their preference. Some cleaning services require the homeowner to supply cleaning products and a few basic materials (sponges, paper towels, rags, a mop, and vacuum, for example), but others bring everything they need to get in, clean, and get out.

You can always ask whether or not they bring their cleaning supplies, and if so, make sure you’re comfortable with what they use. If you prefer organic or natural products, for example, you may need to supply them or pay a premium.
