"I would 100% hands down recommend Charles & Alex Painting to everyone! I submitted an inquiry on a Friday, received a call just 15 min later saying they could come out and do a quote and was here about 20 min later. They started just 2 days later on that Monday, worked all day Monday and just a few hours on Tuesday and they had the whole house complete! We could not be more satisfied!!"

"I hired the AZ Painting Co to repaint the exterior of my small stucco home. They also replaced some rotting wood and power washed a small stain on my block wall. At the time they were offering a 10% discount. I thought they did a great job, worked quickly and efficiently and I would definitely hire them again!"

"It was an excellent experience having Rick and Rob paint our condo. They painted on VERY short notice, came in with the crew and they did a great job. We had a painter lined up who has worked for us previously, but the jerk backed out at the last minute. So we got it touch with R and R and went from there. They came out, masked everything, painted, cleaned up when they were done. Just like they were never there, except for the fresh coat of paint. Can't recommend them enough, nor can we thank you guys enough for painting on such short notice."

"I hired Crash of Rhinos, LLC to paint the exterior of my home. The crew which did the job was very professional in their approach to the task. The onsite foreman issued very few instructions because each member of the crew knew exactly what he had to do and did it. If the foreman had a question or wanted my input, he didn't hesitate to ask. The attention to detail was outstanding. I can't say enough about this company, and would definitely hire them again should the need arise."

"Wilson & Dale turned out to be the perfect contractor to help us maintain our foam roof. They were more reasonable, on time, and did what I expected. I plan to use George Wilson and his company for my future painting projects as well. Very satisfied."

Deck Staining questions, answered by experts

Pricing depends on prep work, paint/stain choice, area size, scaffolding needs, and detailed trim inclusions like precision-balanced windowsills.

It’s important to make sure the wood on a new deck is properly seasoned. Seasoning a deck is simple: Once you build it (or have a pro do so), just leave it alone so it can acclimate to the environment. If you don’t give the deck proper seasoning time before staining, the stain can lock in any lingering moisture and cause mold, rot, and other moisture issues down the road. Give the wood at least four to eight weeks to season before you stain.

No, it is not okay to paint over rotted wood. Painting over rotted wood will not address the underlying issue and can trap moisture, leading to further decay. Properly addressing the rotted wood by removing and replacing or repairing the damaged areas is necessary before you can even consider painting.

Here's the deal with leaving used rags covered in oil-based stain lying around in a pile: Depending on the conditions, these rags can take just an hour or up to a few days to combust. The source of ignition is caused by trapped heat that can be compounded if the rags are near a heat source.

Deck staining or painting safeguards wood against the elements through its protective layer, enhancing decay resistance, prolonging structural integrity, and improving visual appeal.
