"I have used Anthony with A and K for several years to maintain and care for my residential landscaping. He does quality work, is consistent, honest and reliable. He has fixed my irrigation, maintains the monthly landscaping, handles seeding with seasonal grass to keep my yard looking fantastic year-round. Highly recommend his quality of services and level of integrity - which is hard to find nowadays."

"I had 5 large mulberry trees that over hung my dwelling that both my insurance company and fire department insisted be removed before I could qualify for a fire abatement letter and insurance coverage. All the trees were removed in a single days time with no damage to the dwellings roof or property and the debris was cleaned up and disposed of too ! Bill and his crew were great !"

Hello, my name is Tyler and I am a hardworking collage student that is very handy in the Tucson area, I do tree removals , trimmings, and all around lawn maintenance. I treat every yard like it’s my own — no shortcuts, no mess left behind, and no surprise charges. Whether it’s a single hazardous tree or storm cleanup after a bad summer storm, you can count on me to show up on time and do it right.

"Jose and his helper did an outstanding job. Worked very hard and removed/hauled away 8-10 large Agave (including roots) from my backyard. That is a huge job in 100 degree heat and the ground extremely hard! Clean up was very good. Friendly and extremely reasonable pricing. I would definitely hire him again and have already requested his assistance in removing a tree from my yard."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

The lifespan of a bird's nest depends on the species. The building process can take from two days to three weeks. Once built, the nesting period for baby birds can last from two to ten weeks before they leave the nest. While most young birds are ready in two to six weeks, some predatory species may need up to two and a half months. Some species nest four to five times per year, so a nest could remain in use for several months. For specific information about a particular nest's longevity, it is best to consult a wildlife professional.

Some trees will bounce back just fine, and others will struggle and possibly die. Evergreens, for instance, have a very difficult time recovering after droughts and usually die after periods of extreme dryness. Usually, you’ll have to just wait and see—if the drought occurs in wintertime, it’s possible that your tree will recover during the gentler springtime.

No, you should never top maple trees. Topping injures the tree and leads to the rapid growth of a weak canopy, which can be hazardous to rooftops and utility lines. Removing the crown can also leave the interior bark vulnerable to sun damage, leading to insects and disease. A topped tree can also reduce property value and permanently damage the appearance of a tree.

It’s not as common for Dutch elm disease to affect other types of trees, especially if the surrounding trees aren’t elms. However, it is possible for DED to spread to other trees, particularly in northern states, like Minnesota. In fact, it’s a good idea to use geography to identify wood and determine which types of trees are in your yard.

Unfortunately, the complex and shallow root system of elm trees makes surrounding elm trees particularly vulnerable to DED. Early discovery is key!

You can use a chainsaw, but it won’t remove the entire stump or root ball and is not a recommended method. It takes quite a bit of physical work to achieve and will likely dull or ruin your chainsaw. Instead, consider using salt, herbicide, light deprivation, boiling water, stump grinding, or burning to kill a tree stump. These methods allow you to kill a stump using minimal machinery and physical exertion.
