Small jobs welcome

"This company was very professional. The drywall repair was completed in one evening, and the walls were repainted the next day. They carefully prepared prior to and completely cleaned up after the repair. I would recommend Wall 2 Wall Drywall for any drywall repairs! They did an awesome job! Thank you!"

"They were careful to protect the carpeting and surrounding areas. They did a thorough job of sealing the window frames to prevent leaking during rainstorms. They repaired all the damaged window sills and walls. I would hire them again if needed."

"Don't call any other company, before calling Miles for any drywall or anything else you need done around your home. Before I could finish clicking Submit on Angi, Miles was already on the phone calling me to come and quote the job. He gave me a estimate over the phone and since that was less than what I was expecting I hired Contracting Miles LLC. Even though it was Fathers Day, he showed up and fixed our dry wall issue, and patched it. Flawless work and talk about customer service. He gave his employees the day off for Fathers Day and came early and completed the job himself. That was unexpected (I did tell him he could wait and take the day off) but he insisted on getting us taken care of. Great Customer service, Great Work (the 5x5 hole in my ceiling from a water leak looks like it never happened) and and all around great company. Thanks Miles for the job well done."

"I couldn’t be more impressed with this drywall/painting service company. From the initial estimate to the final walkthrough, everything was handled professionally and efficiently. Communication was clear and timely, the team showed up exactly when they said they would, and the quality of work exceeded expectations. The drywall installation and finishing were flawless—smooth seams, clean corners, and no shortcuts. They took great care to protect the surrounding areas and left the spaces spotless when the job was done. It’s clear they take pride in their craftsmanship and attention to detail. If you’re looking for a reliable, skilled, and trustworthy drywall/painting contractor, I highly recommend this company. The work was done right the first time, on schedule, and at a fair price."

"Very happy with the results. Quality was top notch. Miguel and his crew were super communicative, and made sure I was happy with the end result. There were some other items that I need done while they were working on the drywall, they were able to bid and take care of those as well. Fair pricing, will definitely be reaching out in the future for any of my projects."

Drywall questions, answered by experts

Yes, if there is mold in your drywall mud and you then use it to build walls in your house—or if mold develops in your set drywall, like it can in hot and humid areas—it can lead to illness. Mold in your drywall (or other parts of your home) can make existing respiratory conditions or allergies worse, and the effect can be more intense for those who have existing health issues or compromised immune systems.

Yes, any parts of drywall that are wet or overly moist will need to be replaced. Drywall is intended to be dry (it’s in the name, after all.), as excess moisture can lead to mold and mildew and eventually corrode your home’s foundational building pieces. Do regular inspections in your home to make sure all your plumbing is intact and in good condition—this will go a long way toward preventing leaks.

There is no way to cut drywall without making dust, but you can reduce the amount of dust and especially the dangerous airborne particles by using manual cutting tools. Using a utility knife to score and snap your drywall will minimize dust production, and a jab saw for cutting cutouts for boxes and fixtures will generate almost no airborne dust. Even if you use these methods, you should still wear a respirator and safety goggles to avoid damage to your lungs and eyes.

While not always necessary, you can glue a drywall ceiling in addition to using screws or nails. Drywall is typically secured to ceiling joists with fasteners, which is often sufficient. However, adding construction adhesive can offer benefits like preventing sagging, bridging gaps, and reducing air leaks for better energy efficiency. It may also be used for specific acoustic or insulation needs. On the other hand, many professionals advise against it because properly placed screws make the drywall structural, glue doesn't add strength, and it makes future repairs or replacements significantly more difficult. Ultimately, it's best to follow local building codes and project-specific requirements to decide if adhesive is right for your ceiling.

If your home’s foundation shifts slightly over time, any seams in the drywall represent the weakest point in the wall, leading to cracks. If your home has significant changes in temperature and humidity, this can cause the drywall to swell and contract slightly, causing a crack at the weak point of the seam. If your drywall installer did a poor job securing the panels to the wall studs, this could cause a weak layout and cracks in the seams.
