"John and his crew put together a barn door, installed it, then put up two different types of blinds, and put up a shelf over my washer/dryer. They did great work overall and I would use them again. My only issue that maybe I should have told them, is for them to ask questions before hanging things. I also needed to be clearer in how I wanted a shelf to be placed. Great job!"

"Working with Robert and Lisa was wonderful throughout the Ramada project. They communicated well and kept us up-to-date as we needed to unlock our gate and always have our dog inside. From the very beginning, ROBERT understood what I wanted which was to create so the little Ramada would look like part of our craftsman home. Now we have a “baby craftsman” in our yard and it is a wonderful destination! He even hung up our string lights so at night it looks like we’re having a party. It is magnificent and we will be enjoying it for years to come."

"I had a tub around and had the majority of my house tiled. They did a great job, especially considering the floor they had to work with. I was impressed with their ability to level the tile floor despite our wacky 1971 broken concrete. James and crew are reliable and provide quality work at a competitive price. I highly recommend them!"

"Awesome! My home is 34 years old of which I have lived in it for 26 years. Terry is very meticulous about his work, and when he installed the lights under the kitchen cabinets, the night lights, and the air vent covers, I felt like I had a new home. The work he did for me was outstanding! I would recommend him highly to anyone who needs a Handyman. He's the BEST."

Treehouse Builders questions, answered by experts

Before starting greenhouse and nursery service, check your local zoning and HOA rules to confirm agricultural use is allowed. You should also secure necessary permits from the city. Call 811 to locate buried utilities before digging. Plan your construction window for fall through early spring to avoid the extreme summer heat in Apache Junction. Finally, secure proper state nursery registration if you plan to sell plants commercially.

Helpful?

A major mistake during greenhouse and nursery service is underestimating the extreme summer heat in Apache Junction. Structures require active cooling and thick shade cloth to survive the season. Homeowners also frequently skip testing for caliche depth, leading to excavation delays. Another common error is planting directly into unamended alkaline soil, which causes nutrient deficiencies. Always account for high water demands and intense monsoon runoff.

Helpful?

To make greenhouse and nursery service safe for your family, seal all structural gaps to keep out scorpions and snakes native to Apache Junction. Fence off toxic desert plants and bury drip irrigation lines to eliminate tripping hazards. Always store fertilizers in cool, locked cabinets to prevent heat degradation. Keep children and pets out of enclosed structures during peak afternoon heat to prevent severe heat exhaustion.

Helpful?

Your AZ property is a strong candidate for greenhouse and nursery service if you have a south-facing open area for optimal sun exposure. Check your soil for heavy caliche layers, as you must amend alkaline dirt or build raised beds. Ensure your property has reliable water access and adequate drainage to handle intense monsoon rainfall. Properties with existing windbreaks also offer great protection for freestanding structures.

Helpful?

For smooth greenhouse and nursery service, design and install your irrigation infrastructure before planting to accommodate high water demands. Plan for robust ventilation and shade cloth during the initial design phase rather than retrofitting later. Submit your permit applications several weeks in advance to avoid delays. Finally, incorporate French drains or gravel perimeters to protect your AZ property from intense monsoon flooding.
