"We are new to AZ and the home we bought had really heavy glass sliders. Neither my husband nor myself could open or have access to backyard. We contacted True View’s Wesley Taylor who came to our home, gave us good quote, told us when we could expect to have the necessary installation. We received a call the day before and were delighted when Adam Minjarez and David Valenzuela arrived early am and proceeded to do a super job for us. We can open those glass doors easily and for the first time in over a year, we have easy access to our backyard! Thanks True View for great associates and a great job! We really appreciate doing business with you and should the need arrive, we will do so again!"

Small jobs welcome

"Promise Glass and Doors was the first contact to respond to my request for a quote for residential window glass replacement. James and Laura proposed a solution for energy efficient IGU glass panels to replace my blown seal glass panels for less than 1/2 the cost of a total window frame and glass replacement. From measuring, to a quote, to installation of the new glass, took less than two weeks. Very happy with the whole experience, and will be contacting James and Laura for additional glass work after the new year"

"Shane is awesome. Replaced my sliding glass back door for me after my son broke the glass. Shane even went out of his way to save me money when he had recycled glass available and offered to use it to help us out. Quality, friendly and prompt service. Highly recommend."

"We are overall pleased with the install. However, the guys who installed them left broken glass on my bedroom door that I stepped on. Also, the caulk around the outside could have been smoothed out. Other than that, it was all good."

Glass and Mirrors questions, answered by experts

You should always pack glasses standing up. It will eliminate the pressure that comes with weight when delicate items are stacked on top of each other horizontally. Don’t forget to wrap each glass individually with bubble wrap, and don’t add anything on top except for additional padding. Always mark these boxes as fragile.

You can use hot, soapy water, white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, window cleaner, nail polish remover, WD-40, and cooking oil to remove glass labels. You can also apply heat with a hair dryer or steam cleaner. Use a plastic scraper or credit card to remove the adhesive, as a razor blade can permanently scratch your glass.

The average mirror has a lifespan of 10 to 15 years. After that, the coating begins to deteriorate, losing its reflective properties. Acrylic mirrors have a slightly shorter lifespan of seven to 10 years. Higher-quality acrylic sheets with UV-resistant properties have lifespans similar to those of your average mirror. By maintaining your mirrors and keeping them out of direct sunlight when not in use, you can extend their lifespan. Some mirrors can last for decades.

The best way to pack mirrors is to use specially padded cartons or boxes made for mirrors. Be sure to thoroughly wrap the fragile mirror in padded paper or bubble wrap before sliding it into its box. That way, there’s a protective barrier in between the mirror and the box. Then, fill in any gaps with crumpled paper or additional packing materials.

You don’t want to put anything on top of your mirror when you move it. You also want to limit the possibility that something heavy will fall on the glass and shatter it. For this reason, it’s not a good idea to lay a mirror flat in the moving truck.
