"OUTSTANDING!! I needed an old house torn down, land cleared, and a pad for our new mobile home. I obtained several bids, but Tim's stood out. Not only was he very competitive, but he offered a wider array of services that ultimately eliminated the need for multiple contractors. This fact alone saved us time and money as well as streamlined the project. I was so pleased that I didn't bother shopping out my next project, I went straight to him for a driveway and parking area."

"Had Sun Pools to come replace the pump motor on our pool. The cost was $550.00 to have the pump motor installed. What was installed was a sunfaded, scratched and muddy used motor, not new. I called and spoke to Tim and inquired why there was a used motor put on when we paid for a new motor his answer to me was it was a new motor that had been in the just been rolling around in the truck and was scratched up. I explained to him we had paid for a new motor and I was expecting new and this pump motor was not new, it was used. His answer to me after a minutes of conversation was to make note of the date and that if it fails within 1 year to let them know. New pumps have shinny paint and clear labels for identification. This pump is sunfaded, scratched and the information label is scratched up. There was even grayish mud on the motor, my pump, motor and filter housing is on a concrete base where there is no mud. We will take our business elsewhere. If you have them service your equipment and you are paying for new equipment, please check behind them and make sure your getting what you pay for."

Since 1958, B-Dry has been committed to making sure your basement or crawlspace is solid and dry. At B-Dry, you have the strength of a large, national organization standing behind the personalized service of your local B-Dry office. In addition, we don't use contractors or sub-contractors for our work. All of our crews are trained professionals and are employees of B-Dry.

"I had an absolutely terrible experience with this company and strongly suggest you stay away from them. I paid thousands of dollars for a French drain to be installed in my backyard and to have my gutters connected to it ? the goal was to keep water away from my foundation. One of their employees almost passed out in my backyard, and I was about to call 911. The manager refused to let him go home, and another worker quit on the spot because he didn?t like how his coworker was being mistreated. The next time they came out, one of the guys asked me what he was supposed to be doing because he had no idea. I had to stand over them and constantly micromanage to prevent more mistakes ? they clearly weren?t prepared or trained for the job. After paying thousands, nothing changed. My issue was never fixed, and I completely wasted my money. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this company!"

Wells and Pumps questions, answered by experts

Schedule annual inspections, monitor water pressure, and address minor issues promptly to avoid major repairs.

Most submersible well pumps last eight to 15 years, depending on the quality, type, and how well they’re maintained. Lower-quality submersible pumps that are poorly maintained will not last very long, but higher-quality pumps can last 15 to 25 years (or even longer). Jet pumps last eight to 10 years.

The precharged pressure tank should start at around 28 psi. The two pressure settings of note are the cut-in and cut-out pressure. The well pump starts when the tank reaches the minimum cut-in pressure. It turns off when the tank reaches the maximum cut-out pressure. The desired water pressure in the household is usually a few psi above the cut-in number. The difference between the cut-in and cut-out pressure settings should be 20 psi. Typical settings for household applications include 20/40, 30/50, and 40/60.

Pressure tanks can last anywhere from five to 15 years, but the life span of your tank depends on a few factors. Lower-quality tanks tend to wear out more quickly than high-end options, and the quality of water and the amount of sediment or rocks from your well can cause premature damage. Overworking an undersized pressure tank can also limit its life span.

You should have your well inspected once per year. You should also have a well inspection done when you’re buying a house with a private well, when the well cap is opened, when the septic tank is repaired, or when there is flooding.

During your annual visit, a pro will make sure that everything is working correctly and check for certain contaminants, including total coliform. Every other year, they’ll look for things like metals and nitrates, and every five years, they’ll test for pesticides.
