We look forward to helping you with all your electrical needs. We want to personally welcome you and thank you for becoming part of The Supreme Family.

"Michael showed up right on time, removed the old light fixture, installed the new one. He cleaned up the small mess that was made with the project and took the old fixture out with him when he left to dispose of. The pricing was fair and I have absolutely no complaints with the technician that came to do the project or Supreme Electric & will use them again on future projects."

Just a guy trying to keep food on the table, No job is to big or to small. I am a licensed electrician. I charge $400 a day for work(8hrs). It doesn't matter how big or small the job is. For Example, If I complete it in a day, I charge $400. If you have me wire an entire house for you which would likely take me 5 days for a 2000sq-ft House, I charge you $2000 for the 5 days of work. If a job takes me 4 hours or less my daily charge is then $200. If you are easy-going and are cool to work with I will probably give you a discount! You WILL NOT find a better price for any electrical work. For any 5-8 hour job, a contractor will likely charge you $700-$1000 for labor and the price is variable depending on what kind of work was done. With me it does not matter what kind of work I do, I still charge $400 a day for labor. As far as Parts and Materials, Either you can buy the parts or I can buy the parts and give you the receipt and it will be on the bill, unlike contractors marking them up for profit! I specialize in New Construction Wiring, Fancy Kitchen Island Lighting & Outlet Installs, Floor Outlet installations, Exterior lighting installs, Residential Code updates, Generator transfer switch installs, Panel Replacements, and much more. I have lots of references for all kinds of work I have done, I can give you at your request! I have been doing electrical work for a living for over 12 years and have been in construction all of my life.

Electrical questions, answered by experts

A faulty light switch can trip a breaker due to circuit overload or a short circuit. A faulty light switch may not always trip a breaker, so don’t use that as your only sign that something’s wrong. Always investigate the cause of a switch that isn’t working properly, feels hot to the touch, or is making unusual noises.

Often, your existing ceiling fan can accommodate adding a light fixture. The wiring is typically below the fan motor. If you’re adding a ceiling fan to where a light fixture used to be, ensure the electrical mounting box is rated for that use or retrofit one in the location. Not all types of ceiling fan mounting brackets support adding light fixtures.

Yes, GFCI breakers are required for all outdoor outlets. This code requirement applies to all outlets located on balconies, decks, patios, and other outdoor lounge spaces. In addition, outdoor outlets need to have watertight covers that provide protection when cords are plugged in. If you have an older home that may not be up to code, it's a good idea to also ask your electrician about adding GFCIs to some indoor areas. Kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and any other areas of a home that are commonly exposed to moisture should have GCFI breakers.

When combined with a substantial solar system, if you have enough Powerwalls, you could go off-grid and be energy independent. But remember, you'd need enough Powerwalls to power your whole home continuously because a single Powerwall can’t power large appliances for extended periods. One Powerwall is able to power an average-sized home's emergency circuits, lights, and outlets. To power large appliances, you likely need two or three Powerwalls.

Services by electricians can quickly get expensive, but there are a few ways you can save money in the process:

  • Bundle multiple jobs done at the same time to save on trip fees or flat fees for individual projects.

  • Get at least three quotes for service to find the best deal.

  • Buy fixtures, switches, outlets, and other materials beforehand to avoid product markup.

  • If you feel comfortable with it, have an apprentice or journeyman complete the work under the supervision of a master electrician. These electricians in training tend to charge less per project.
