"Michael showed up right on time, removed the old light fixture, installed the new one. He cleaned up the small mess that was made with the project and took the old fixture out with him when he left to dispose of. The pricing was fair and I have absolutely no complaints with the technician that came to do the project or Supreme Electric & will use them again on future projects."

Small jobs welcome

"Walking around my house this morning, I'm feeling so grateful that I found Rick to install my new wood flooring! It was a complex job, involving two levels of the house and the staircase that connects them. Rick meticulously removed each of the stair treads, re-sized them to convert from carpet to wood flooring, and replaced them beautifully. The most complicated part of the job was installing the flooring around a wooden railing which runs along the upper level "loft" and stairs, requiring MANY precise customized cuts and modifications of the flooring. He took his time and was very meticulous with this difficult part of the job, and it looks great. Rick was neat, punctual, and easy to reach. He was very knowledgeable and helped me make decisions about design and materials, and he was so pleasant to have in my home. I'm usually very reluctant to give anyone a key to my house, but after getting to know Rick I did so without worry. And I like the fact that he's a veteran. It's my pleasure to recommend Rick without hesitation!"

"He came right over on a Sunday and helped drain the crawl space then set up schedule to dry out, replace wet insulation and fix broken pipes. Ordered and later installed new water heater. It was a process but Matt and his associates were super helpful, professional and nice."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

Wasilla homeowners should account for extreme cold, shifting soils from permafrost, and potential earthquake activity, all of which can impact wiring and underground installations. Rural properties may require additional circuits for well pumps or outbuildings. Limited daylight in winter makes robust outdoor lighting essential. Always review local building codes and consider surge protection to safeguard your home’s electrical reliability.

Helpful?

Homes in Wasilla built before 1980, or those with outdated electrical panels, often need upgrades to handle modern appliances and heating needs. If your home lacks GFCI outlets, has insufficient circuits for block heaters, or experiences frequent outages during winter, it’s a strong sign you should consider electrical projects to improve safety, efficiency, and comfort throughout the long, cold season.

Helpful?

Coordinating electrical projects with other home improvements in Wasilla can be highly efficient, especially during the limited construction season. For example, upgrading wiring while renovating kitchens, adding insulation, or replacing siding allows for easier access and reduces repeat labor. Planning ahead for features like heated roof cables or extra outdoor lighting ensures your home is well-prepared for Wasilla’s challenging winters.

Helpful?

It’s time to schedule electrical projects in Wasilla if you notice persistent breaker trips during cold snaps, outlets that feel warm, or if you’re planning to install a generator or electric vehicle charger. Addressing these needs before winter sets in helps prevent disruptions and ensures your home’s electrical system can handle increased loads during harsh weather.

Helpful?

Completing electrical projects in Wasilla provides immediate improvements in safety, reliability, and comfort—especially important with the region’s extreme winters. In the long term, upgrades can boost energy efficiency, support future additions like electric vehicle chargers, and increase your home’s value. Enhanced electrical systems also reduce the risk of outages and help you adapt to evolving energy needs in Alaska’s unique climate.
