SIMPLY AWESOME!!! I called MMP around 8 am and spoke to Cindy. She had me take some pictures of my water heater to email over to them. Within 45 minutes I spoke to Diane, she gave me the price and said she could have someone out to my house by early afternoon the same day. Diane called me back at roughly 11:30 am to let me know a crew had finished a bigger job early and could be at my house in 45 minutes (they got here in 30!). Jim and Joe were AWESOME! We went over the issues and they answered ALL of our questions and then some. Within an hour and a half they had the old water tank out and the new one installed along with a pressure regulator. Their work was EXCELLENT and the price was good! They will be my go to for any future plumbing needs. I asked MMP to get me a quote for a new furnace and AC unit, I will be sure to edit the review and let everyone know how that goes

Brian Tarr at Matt Mertz Plumbing did an excellent job installing our new Dishwasher, and he also replaced the filters in our Reverse Osmosis Filtration system. In the past, Brian has repaired several pin hole leaks in our copper pipes. Since we have West View Water, Brian recommended that we purchase a Whole House Filter System, and he installed it for us in 2018. Since then, we have had minimal issues with pin hole leaks. We had many different plumbers come to the house and repair pin hole leaks, but Brian was the only one to recommend the Whole House Filter system

Chris was there when he said he would be and the work flowed at a nice pace. He didn't mind if I came into the room to watch and when I said that maybe I should leave leave him to his work, he told me it was fine and he liked the conversation, and showed me what he was doing at every turn. He seems to enjoy what he was doing and my wife and I are very happy with the work that he di

  • All Star Custom Kitchens
    5.0
I had no personal referrals on kitchen contractors and, therefore, relied completely on what I researched online. I kept coming back to All Star Custom Kitchens. The reviews they received from their previous customers were amazing. I decided to take a leap of faith and contract with All Star Custom Kitchens and I am so glad I did! Tom and his crew did a wonderful job. They gave me a beautiful new kitchen that far exceeded my expectations. Tom delivered on everything he said he would...from the first meeting through to completion. The project went incredibly smooth. Communication was excellent. Crew was incredible to work with. Tom was always available and quick to respond throughout the project. There is nothing new I can say that has not already been said in all of the All Star Custom Kitchen reviews. If you are considering a kitchen remodel, I highly recommend you give Tom a call

  • Cullum Excavating
    5.0
Corey was very professional and came to my house twice to quote my job and answer questions even though we are over an hour away in Pittsburgh. He did excellent work with his excavator- he is very precise with the shovel and dug the 60’ trench in a very tight spot. He and his coworker installed schedule 40 pvc for water at a depth of >40” and for electrical at a depth of 18”. He threaded the supply line and also my electrical as he dug the trench. He was friendly and patient even when our footer was 2’ thick and required an extra 4 hrs of jackhammering, which he did charge me for. His price was half that of two plumbers that quoted my job. Highly recommended

  • Diamond Construction & Remodeling Inc
    5.0
Diamond Construction was highly communicative and timely throughout both projects. They worked with us on every little thing we wanted done, giving us advice where we needed it. They have connections with experts in each phase of the projects, electricians, plastering, plumbing, cabinetry, masonry, tiling, painting, etc. and coordinate timing with everyone we needed. We love the finished products and would hire them again in a heartbeat. They've done prior projects for us too, and we've never been disappointed. They work hard, are trustworthy, honest and just easy to work with

  • PAWLAK PLUMBING INC
    5.0
Bottom line: I cannot recommend Pawlak plumbing enough. Every part of their service was exemplary. The long story: We wanted to replace an old tank water heater, which was improperly hooked up to a recirculation line, with a new tankless unit. In doing so, we also want to address water pressure issues, install a water conditioner, and flush buildup out of our lines. Of the quotes we got, Pawlak was the only one that identified that we needed to increase the size of the pipes, which required increasing the size of our water meter, which they walked us through the process of working with the water company to accomplish (I didn't even know that was a thing). They also properly looked up the recirculation line to the new tankless unit, taking advantage of the built-in pump, installed the water conditioner in the right place for easy access and maintenance, ensured our lines were clear, and maximized our pipes and the pressure value to ensure that we had the maximum allowable pressure. So, at the end of the day, they did everything we asked, and did it well. But the story doesn't stop there, oh no. You see, the tankless unit we purchased was missing a very small part. A very small... yet important... part. A clip that connected the water line to the pump. Without this clip, water just splashed everywhere. Clearly, this was a manufacturing error and not damage; it just didn't get installed. This is where Pawlak actually stepped in and went above and beyond. Because, not only did they immediately (and correctly) identify the problem, they then contacted the manufacturer directly to try to get a replacement part. Then, when the manufacturer rather fell on their own face and failed to get the part to us (it should have been overnighted but actually took 5 days to get to us) not only did they call and harass them every day, but they also showed up, on Saturday afternoon, without an appointment, as soon as the clip showed up, just to get the system working. In the mean time, they advocated for us (as their customer) to such an extent that the manufacturer promised to pay for the several days of hotel fees we incurred (so that we could have a shower while we waited for the missing part) AS WELL AS refund some of the fees of the plumber. Once the water heater was initially functional, it's also important to note that they came back - twice - to finish the install (the recirculation line and the water conditioner were waiting on the heater to be functional). This process took about a month to complete, and after all was said and done, the amount we paid was the amount on the original quote! I was quite honestly stunned because the amount of time and labor that was required to finish the job was far, far higher than anyone would reasonably expect a contractor to agree to waive, and that doesn't even take into account a full week of directly harassing the manufacturer to get the parts we needed. So, to sum it all up, I cannot recommend Pawlak plumbing enough, because they went way past above & beyond to do the job right, and still kept to their word on the quote. Ed and his team will be our next call, without question. Thanks Pawlak plumbing

Plumbing FAQ

  1. How much does a plumber cost?

Answer: The cost of a plumber ranges from $175 to $480, with a national average of $330. However, the price will vary depending on job complexity, timing, location, supplies and materials, permits, and level of expertise. These costs typically include toilet repairs, faucet installations, and leaky pipes. In addition to the service call, you may also need to budget for haul-away and trip fees often required during more complicated jobs. Ask your local plumbing contractor about these fees before hiring them.

  2. How much does a plumber charge to replace a toilet?

Answer: On average, you can expect to pay your local plumbing contractor between $125 and $230 to replace an old toilet, with most residential homeowners paying around $150 to $180 for professional installation. You’ll need to consider materials and labor when calculating a final price. Not all toilets are equal. Depending on the brand you choose and the features you want, a new toilet might run you anywhere from $100 to $1,300. Add in the price of labor and installation, and your total project can jump up to $200 and $1,500.

  3. How much does a plumber cost to fix a toilet?

Answer: According to our service providers, it costs roughly $75 to $200 on average to have your toilet repaired. However, this price will vary depending on the complexity of the job and the materials needed for the fix. Repairs can be messy and less-than-pleasant to address, but having a functioning toilet is most definitely necessary. If you’re experiencing problems with your toilet, contact a local, reputable plumbing contractor right away, as avoiding repairs can lead to bigger—and more expensive—issues over time.

  4. Is liquid plumber safe for septic systems?

Answer: Good news! Liquid-Plumr® is safe for septic systems. Most drain cleaners disrupt the pH in your septic tank, which prevents the good bacteria from breaking down septic waste. The chemical make-up in Liquid-Plumr® works with the bacteria to break down waste quickly without harming your septic system. Still, it’s best to confirm with your local plumbing provider if Liquid-Plumr® is the right solution for your system.

  5. How much is it for a plumber to unclog a toilet?

Answer: Even the most well-maintained toilets experience clogs. It’ll cost you an average of $200 to $700 to unclog your toilet. Severe clogs will require a more comprehensive repair method, so check with your local plumbing contractor to determine the best approach for unclogging your toilet.

  6. Is Liquid-Plumr®, or any other liquid drain cleaner, safe for septic systems?

Answer: Yes and no. Liquid-Plumr® and other drain cleaners are most effective when used sparingly (one to three times a year). Repeated use of liquid plumber on drains could deteriorate your pipes and cause more damage. If your pipes clog frequently, put down the liquid plumber and call your local plumbing contractor immediately.
