It was always the same friendly voice setting the appointment. I should have know the business had changed when I scheduled. It was a breathless person on the other end of the phone that quoted us a price that we would later learn was not what we were charged. When the techs arrived I recognized him as he had been out the year prior. My recollection was he did a fine job as evidenced by the fact that we used them again. The cleaning, though brief, went uneventfully. When presented a bill that was more than we were quoted, we inquired and were met with an indignant “well, that’s what it is.” My wife and I said no problem, we will take it up with the office. After presenting the tech with my credit card, he tossed it back at me along with the receipt and turned toward the door. No thanks for your business, no have a nice day. As he was walking to the door, mere feet from me, he calls out “so rude.” I inquire as to what he said as he was walking down the driveway and he would not answer. When pressed again he said you are rude. I asked why he would say that and he got in his wrecked, rusted out van and, after dumping his dirty water reservoir on our cup de sac, he sped off. I called to speak with the owner and though he said he was not happy with that he neither apologized or followed up with me as he said he would. A company owned by someone who does not uphold their word is not to be trusted in your home. It’s obvious they hire bottom-of-the barrel techs and do not hold customer satisfaction in high regard. There are many reputable carpet cleaners in Louisville. This is not one of them
