"Signed a contract back on April 2, 2025. They were supposed to be out on Wednesday, May 21. They called me two hours before they were supposed to be here to cancel because of the chance of rain. We had zero rain here from 7:45 AM all the way to 3:30 PM. I wasted a vacation day as well. Contacted my salesman. He tells me he will get back to me. Here we are two days later and still no idea when the appointment is supposed to happen. Communication is poor at best. Amazing that a company that's been in business this long plays games like this."

Most garage floor paints are epoxy-based and available in DIY kits. One-part epoxies are simpler to apply than two-part epoxies, which have a more involved process. Sometimes, people also use latex-based paint because it’s easier to clean up mistakes with soap and water. Either way, make sure your paint is specifically designed for concrete garage floors. It should say so on the label.

The benefits of epoxy floor coating include increased durability for concrete surfaces in the face of harsh chemicals, easy cleaning and maintenance, improved efficiency for underfloor heating, and an improved aesthetic over the dull surface of standard concrete floors.

Unlike paint, concrete stain won’t peel off. Instead, the color absorbs into the surface of this porous building material. Interlocking garage tiles made with PVC are the most effective for garages with past issues of humidity and flooding because damp concrete is not suitable for paint. Epoxy coating is also water-resistant and can prevent mold buildup. Finally, porcelain tiles are a wonderful option for wet conditions if your budget allows.
