We had a very positive experience working with United wholesale flooring and Fred, in particular. Fred helped us narrow our choices to a couple of samples. He then scheduled an appointment to bring the samples over to our home and take the necessay measurements.. We received the estimate and proceeded to purchase the flooring along with the labor to remove the old flooring and install the new. They were able to schedule the work within 2 days! UWF called the night before to confirm and again 1/2 hour before their arrival. They were very Careful to protect our furniture. They were efficient in removing the old flooring and getting the floors ready for installation. That's when we ran into a challenge. Through no fault of UWF, the floor manufacturer shipped wood flooring darker than the color that we purchased. Fred was very quick to respond to the problem. He worked diligently to find a quick replacement. We were able to find similar flooring through a different vendor which UWF installed for us. The floors are beautiful. They did an excellent job on the floors and baseboards. I would highly recommend United Wholesale Flooring - quality, value and integrity.

Hands down, this is the most gorgeous flooring I've ever seen. The rep there was very helpful in discussing the durability and upkeep of the different woods, and he was very knowledgeable and ndash; definitely an expert. It's not cheap, but the beauty of the product makes it worth it. A friend of mine installed it and I couldn't be happier.

The experience was stressful and disappointing from beginning to end. To begin, even though we paid them to measure, they underestimated the requirement and that caused additional hassles as we were reaching the end of the job and they claimed they would be unable to find the additional wood needed. It was important to us that we select a good quality wood that was available in reasonably long lengths. Our salesman assured us that the product would be mostly 5-6 foot lengths. In reality, 4 feet was the longest length and most were much shorter than that. We only realized the problem once half the living room (a large room) floor had been laid. When we called to complain we were giving the run around and a series of conflicting explanations and excuses. Eventually, were promised compensation that was never delivered. The end result looks good - not great - but it definitely was not worth all the drama. Recently several of the boards buckled and cracked. They acknowledged the problem was a manufacturing defect and assured us they would replace the bad planks. Again a series of long delays, promises and excuses ensued before the planks were finally repaired. Fortunately, my husband is patient and persistent or this could have been a real disaster.

We planned to spend the whole day shopping around for bids and went to Wholesale Flooring first. Our salesman Sam was very patient with us and nice to deal with. The bid he gave us at the store was straightfoward, reasonable, and it was all-inclusive, so we just went with it and did not have to spend the rest of the day driving around town. They came to measure the same day, were great about taking my calls to follow up, and even did the installation on Saturday upon request. They did everything they said they would do including removing old carpet, moving furniture, installing new carpet, replacing furniture. Their main installation person was extremely professional and we were very impressed with how polite and efficient they were. They came earlier than scheduled, which was an inconvenience and disrupted our plan. And the rest of the crew did not show up until a lot later, so I think the job took longer than it could have. However, these are minor details and we were so impressed with the overall experience and quality of the installation that I am going straight to them for my next flooring job.

Tom was our salesman and he went out of his way to find us the materials that we wanted for our remodel at extremely fair prices - in fact we found the flooring (Brazilian acacia wood) we wanted for $3.15/square foot less than another flooring company, and their installation price was $4.00/square foot less as well - a huge savings! He was very honest in his dealings with us, and was good on his word - even after the sale. Peter came out to our home to measure for the flooring and assess the installation costs. He was very solution oriented, helpful and also went out of his way to make the job go smoothly. We kept changing our installation date due to delays in the remodel with other contractors, and he kindly accommodated us without any problem. The installation job was amazing! He sent 5 experienced workers who arrived right on time and stayed into the evening to complete the job on time ... actually 1 day early! They did a fabulous job of installation - neat, clean and with complete attention to detail. Peter even showed up on a Sunday evening to seal the slate floor himself! The floor looks absolutely fabulous - a perfect job at a terrific price with professionals who were a pleasure to work with - who could ask for more?

DELAYS IN SCHEDULING AND RESCHEDULING WERE A ROYAL PAIN! THE TILE FLOOR WAS PUT IN WELL BUT HAD TO RETURN TO THE STORE TO PICK OUT NEW TILE AFTER ORIGINAL PICK WAS 'STUCK IN CUSTOMS' FOR AN UNKNOWN AMOUNT OF TIME! LAMINATE FLOORING JOB WAS INCOMPLETE WITH CLOSET DOORWAYS LEFT UNFINISHED WITH INDUSTRIAL GLUE EXPOSED. HAD TO WAIT AGAIN FOR JOB TO BE FINISHED. IN ADDITION I WAS LEFT WITH 5 EXTRA BOXES OF TILE AS JOB WAS OVERCHARGED.

SO FAR, THE FLOOR HAS BEEN INSTALLED AND IT LOOKS GREAT. THE GUYS THAT CAME-DANNY AND ANOTHER ONE WHOSE NAME I DON'T REMEMBER--DID A FANTASTIC JOB, AND THE BOTH WERE VERY NICE. NOW THEY WILL BE BACK IN ABOUT A WEEK TO PUT THE MOLDINGS UP, AND THEN AGAIN WHEN I HAVE MY SON'S ROOM DONE.
