If you are looking for someone to do foundation work on your home or business, Engineered Foundation Solutions are the people to call! After contacting them through their website, I was contacted the next day to set an appointment for an estimate. They worked with my schedule and I met with Brian within 5 days. I explained to Brian my problem and they developed a plan to solve it . I had an proposal in 3 days. After I sent my down payment and they put me on their schedule, Shannon their office manager contacted me every Friday to keep me updated that they were still coming on that date. Jeff their engineer, came to my house a week before work was to start to go over the work to be performed and answer my questions. Their work crew was very friendly and professional. From day one, I felt like they cared about solving my problem and that we were part of their family. I highly recommend Engineered Foundation Solutions for all you foundation repair needs!

Engineered Foundation Solutions was a pleasure to work with, from the owners Bob and Jeff who performed the inspection and planning, to Shannon who coordinated the project and kept in weekly contact, to Brian who oversaw the work, and his crew. They were professional, courteous, informative and hard workers. They completed the job on time despite a few surprises underground, rain, and a holiday weekend. The price they quoted was a little higher than the other two estimates we received, but the degree of expertise and professionalism was well worth that price, particularly for an expensive and long lasting investment in our home. I wish they did all things house related, I would hire them for everything.

The entire team at Engineered Foundation Solutions was amazing, from start to finish. Everyone was very personable and professional. Shannon at the office kept everything running smooth and communications were always polite and timely. The crew, Colin, Chandler and Randy worked extremely hard and never hesitated to give you their undivided attention. They took the time to answer any questions or discuss any concerns we had. We certainly felt comfortable welcoming them into our home. Despite some bad weather days, the guys left the work area clean and dry. We just can't say enough about just how great these guys are. This project was a big undertaking for us, Jeff and Bob are the main reason we selected them for it. The attention to detail, planning, and execution is evident from the moment you meet them, and carries through to the completion of the work. They set their own standards high, guarantee their work, and follow through. Engineered Foundation Solutions exceeded all of our expectations, and we are forever thankful for their knowledge, hard work and kindness.

Brian provided an in depth and clear evaluation of the situation. He and his crew were very professional and once they got to the root cause found there was further damage than expected. Brian discussed the finding with us and came up with a solution that was perfect. The day they came to do the work it was raining causing the ground to be muddy and the backhoe left marks in the front yard. They reseeded and covered the areas in hay and left the property in its original condition. They went above and beyond.

Also appreciated the pleasant attitude of the workers, who never complained even when up to their thighs in cold muddy water in November weather. This was a unique circumstance for the extremely wet area. The house foundation (footer) was directly on top of uneven sandstone as was the majority of the floor; along with a fair amount of mud. This also led to difficulties with 'cutting' a channel to accommodate the drain and gravel, as well as the Polydrain (the footer was taller than normal basements). However, the crew was able to overcome these issues; it just took an extra day (for one person, not the entire crew). Two sumps had to be installed due to the design of the house; these pits had to be chiseled out of solid sandstone, mind you. This also meant two drain outlets had to be installed after exiting the house, one of which had to go under a sidewalk. The crew was always polite, taking time to answer my questions and concerns. The work they did was absolutely fantastic. The attention to details was the best I have seen in quite some time from a company contracted for a specific job -- and I've dealt with many contractors. Not only did they take away the material chiseled out from the basement, they did the same for excess dirt after trenching for the discharge pipe -- and they even put down coated grass seed over the new trenches. One of the outlets had to go under a deck; both through flower gardens. When they were done, you would never had known what they had to move, or remove, to have access to those areas. I had several outfits -- both local and regional/national -- come out to give estimates and was most impressed by Engineered Foundation Solutions from the onset. They were slightly higher on cost estimate than the others, but you truly get what you pay for in this case. The knowledge they exhibited from the estimator alone put some of the other companies to shame. He even found a water source under the footer that no other company saw. I cannot stress how impressed I was with this company's crew and the work they performed. I would use them again, and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone with a water problem in their basement!

Everything from the initial inspection to determine the nature of the problem through the installation of five piers to stabilize the porch was handled professionally and with customer satisfaction as a goal. We had thought there was a crack in the porch steps that was causing mortar to disintegrate between bricks in the basement wall, and that is why we contacted them. Brian was able to inspect with our concerns in mind, but then, based on his years of experience, he determined the exact nature of the problem. He explained it and showed us how he had reached his conclusion, and it was clear that he was correct. A quote was provided. We contacted a couple other contractors and determined during that process the Engineered Foundation Solutions was the correct contractor for us. During the installation process much of our front yard was removed to make way for the backhoe and to dig the necessary holes for the piers. At the end of each day, the sight was cleaned up and access to our front doors was never disrupted over night. When the piers needed to go twice as deep as the initial quote, we were advised, so that we could have stopped at that point, knowing that the estimate was going to go up considerably. (Just a side note that was important to me: several members of the crew smoked, and there was not one cigarette butt left in the yard!) We will definitely recommend them to others!

You will not find a better company to work with. From the first call to the end of the project, everyone was responsive, considerate and professional. I had a lot of questions which were answered patiently and thoroughly. During the estimation work, Brian from EFS suggested that since there was shearing along almost the entire length of the foundation wall, that the entire wall had to be stabilized – and this included placing a beam behind the furnace. This is a very small and difficult space to work in and required that the some of the furnace duct work and the water tank be pulled. When I asked other contractors about that portion of the wall I was told that it was not necessary to reinforce the wall there, and that I could have it checked in a year or so to see if additional corrective work was required. This was presented to me as a way to save some money, but I felt that I would rather not take a ‘wait and see’ approach - I would rather prevent the problem then have to go through another corrective procedure at a later date. Brian explained that for the wall to be stabilized correctly that the beams had to be placed everywhere there was shearing, not just the places that were easy to get to. In my opinion, this is just one example of the thoroughness of their approach to a job well done. I received estimates from four companies and after doing additional research and then seeking the opinion of an independent structural engineer, I was convinced that EFS was my best choice. Foundation repair work can be expensive and overwhelming as far as making a decision, but Brian made sure that I understood the nature of the work that had to be completed. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

They installed steel beams on a wall that bowed inward in our basement garage after carbon fiber straps we had another company install several years ago failed. We are VERY pleased with the work performed - the workmen were professional and the work was completed in one day as they said. We have a lot of clay in our soil and with all of the rain this year, it placed too much pressure on our wall. Our wall was examined by their engineer prior to install and he explained that the purpose was to stop further movement.

14 piers were installed and the addition was jacked back into place. They jacked multiple piers at one time. The cracks that had opened up between the addition and the rest of the house were completely or substantially closed. The addition was returned to level. The addition was lifted up to two inches. EFS delivered more than than they promised on the lift. They were able to work next to a deck that was about 6 feet away without removing the deck. One small disappointment was with the back filling after the lifting was complete. The addition is constructed with insulated concrete forms (PolySteel) with a brick ledge that extends out from the side of the wall. There is a drain pipe connected to the down spouts that rests under the brick ledge. The back fill was not sufficiently placed and compacted under and behind the pipe. The ground next to the addition later sank two to three inches after a heavy rain when the voids around the pipe were filled by wet soil. Overall I would grade the job as an A- because of the back filling.

Engineered Foundation Solutions waterproofed my basement in May 2018 and I was waiting until we had some significant rain falls before writing this review. We had significant rain falls on 9/17/18, 10/6/2018 and 12/31/2018 and I am very happy to say that my basement stayed completely dry each time. My house is about 50 years old and has always flooded about three or four times a year since I moved into it in 1989. In 2011 I invited four different contractors, including Engineered Foundation Solutions, to review my basement flooding issue and after meeting with them and reviewing their quotes I decided to try to resolve the issue myself. Over the years I installed three sump pumps in various locations in and around my basement and it helped with medium rain falls but did not fix the issue with significant rain falls. In early 2018 I invited three of the contractors back, including Engineered Foundation Solutions, to review my problem again. Brian with Engineered Foundation Solutions was the only representative that was still with his company. The other two companies sent different representatives since their representatives that met with me in 2011 were no longer with their companies. Brian was thorough and professional and discussed the different options with me to resolve my flooding problem and I decided to go with Engineered Foundation Solutions even though they did not have the cheapest solution. Their lifetime guarantee helped to seal the deal. It took four workers three full days to complete the work and I was kept in the loop the whole time as to what they were doing and why and they answered all of my questions completely along the way. The workers were also professional and courteous and their work was not easy work. They cleaned up the basement very well when they finished but understand that a job of this size required additional cleanup on my part to get the basement “back to normal”. After seeing how well their solution worked during three major rain falls, I could not be happier with their service and I very highly recommend them to anyone needing to resolve a flooding basement issue. I would definitely hire them again.

After several years we still do not get water in our basement! They were much more expensive then other companies but their solution made the most sense so we went with them. Took several days but they were very nice & professional. We are so glad we did this. Can't believe we no longer have to move everything every time it rains. Great job!

Excellent and prompt service. Meticulous in implementing procedures to prevent dust accumulating in and about area and pathways. Daily inspections by project supervisor and owner, Jeff Smith. I found Jeff to go above and beyond my expectations and extremely accommodating to all of my questions and requests. A year afterwards one of the underground drain lines began leaking and although it may have not been caused by the previous work, Jeff immediately had a crew come out, dig up the floor, repaired the lines and re-cemented at no charge. Also, due to raw sewage leaking into the sump pump, they sanitized the well and replaced the pump. This was a total and welcomed surprise and proof that Engineered Foundation Solutions stands behind their work 500%. They may not have been the least expensive but the fact that brothers who own the company are certified engineers and not simply a foundation waterproofing company was important to me and comforting to know they are the absolute best choice in this arena.

The job went really well! Due to all the rain this year my house experienced some settlement, back right corner. Bob came out, showed me the problem and explained the solution. We finally decided on a date, which was my issue, not theirs. Their general manager Brian McCreery and crew arrived on time ready to work. Brian was onsite THE ENTIRE TIME, explained every step, was extremely patient and answered every question. Every morning he would meet with me and explain the days work. It went exactly as he described, no surprises. At the end of each day he would explain what they did and what they were to do the next day. They were always on time, actually 10-15 early, worked so hard, and always managed to be ahead of schedule. Honestly, it was so cold I don't know how they were able to work at all but they worked all day, never stopped or complained. I was so nervous about the settlement issue in general but Brian took time to explain things and alleviate my fears. The company does a great job but for me, having Brian onsite made all the difference. I hired EFS 5 years ago for a porch issue and haven't had an issue with it. It is the reason I turned to them again for this issue. Thanks EFS and a special thanks to Brian for a great job and superior work ethic.

First, the bad: they didn't communicate well, and I was confused as to when we were actually doing the repair until the day before it was scheduled. Then, due to some inclement weather, they asked to reschedule to the following week. Once we got that figured out, the guys that showed up seemed like they didn't actually know what they were supposed to do. They didn't have a copy of our signed contract or the on-site estimate, so relied on me to tell them what to do and how much they had told me it would cost. The good: Once they got to work, everything went great. They did excellent work in a very timely fashion, and the cost was within reason. If I ever need foundation work again, I will call them. However, just accept the fact that you will have to steer the scheduling piece and be ready to direct them once they arrive.
