We had the work done in May and they are still keeping my money as of August. If they change the work order do not pay the full amount unless you get a new contract. You can fix concrete discoloration in various ways, such as cleaning the surface, painting it, or resurfacing it. To prevent concrete discoloration, hire a pro who has experience with your type of project, whether it’s a garage floor, patio, or porch.

Like all building materials, concrete weakens with age due to temperature changes, moisture, and cracks that widen over time. Keep in mind that there are ways to keep your concrete strong by resealing it every two to three years, avoiding harsh cleaning chemicals, and addressing small cracks as quickly as possible.

While the two are similar, spalling occurs from deeper within the concrete than scaling does, causing larger fragmentation on the surface.
