"Bath Fitters was by far the fastest and most competent shower installer that we had talked to. Pricing was comparable to other places but the thing that sold us was how personable Kenny was at the estimate. They saw us within 24 hours, gave us a quote, and we were set up with a payment plan with ease."

"I hired Neli over a week period for 3 different appliances, my dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, and even kitchen sink! I had a fantastic experience: 1. I fixed my dryer with Thomas' excellent remote guidance, changing the timer and the switch! Fabulous guidance Thomas, with lots of money saved! I learned a lot in the process. 2. I determined that there was no dishwasher leak and in the process learned how to check for leaks and trouble shoot for some common repair issues. It cost $40.00 but as I had some water on the floor, I was ready to get a new dishwasher. Now, I am confident that it wasn't a leak and caused by putting in the dishes in a funny manner and not a repair issue. I am using the dishwasher now again with no problem. 3. I determined with Thomas' help that the washing machine had a major problem and could have spun out of control into my wall....no question, it was time to get a new washing machine! This was a well spent $40.00--I even got Thomas advice on purchasing a new washing machine and what to look for. 4. I checked the drainage on my kitchen sink and learned how to empty out the "trap" and that most likely, I am okay, but what to swap out if I have continuing issues with slow drainage. In the end, I saved lots of money, gaining and learning valuable experience! Absolutely fabulous service!"

Drain Clog or Blockage - Clear

I am a young business owner and brand new father! I have worked all over the construction industry from a young age and became a licensed plumber before I finished highschool. The name “One man” Freelancing was inspired by my service in the WV national guard where I still currently serve as the “one man” a term given to the cannon crewmember who loads and fires the artillery cannons. I have a broad range of knowledge and problem solving skills, if I don’t know how to do the job I will surely be able to learn and you will not be disappointed with results!

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Homeowners underestimate the logistical challenges of transporting equipment up steep driveways and narrow hollow roads in Logan. You must also account for severe winter weather by properly insulating exposed pipes to prevent freeze damage. Furthermore, cosmetic updates in older homes uncover outdated galvanized pipes that require complete replacement. Always verify your existing septic system capacity before adding new fixtures to your property.

Helpful?

Functional plumbing repairs, like running new lines, demand state permits, while purely cosmetic fixture swaps do not. However, simple cosmetic updates in older Logan homes consistently expose deteriorated cast iron stacks or non-compliant drains, instantly turning the job into a functional remediation project. Additionally, adding high-flow fixtures for cosmetic reasons alters your septic load, requiring functional capacity upgrades to handle the increased wastewater.

Helpful?

Your lot elevation and terrain significantly shape your plumbing options. Homes built on steep hillsides face different water pressure challenges than properties in valley bottoms. Proximity to local waterways determines your flood risk, which dictates water heater placement and sewer lateral integrity. Additionally, note if your WV property sits near historic underground coal mines, as ground subsidence directly damages buried pipes and foundation connections.

Helpful?

Start by testing your water pressure, especially if you live in an elevated hollow location. Low pressure dictates the need for system upgrades before adding new fixtures. Inspect your sewer laterals for damage caused by past floods or ground shifting. For rural WV properties, test your well water chemistry first, as high iron content or hardness dictates which pipe materials will survive long-term use.

Helpful?

Document your specific water source and whether you rely on a municipal sewer or a private septic system in Logan. Record the approximate build year of your home, as older coal-era properties contain legacy materials like galvanized pipes. You should also note any flood history from the Guyandotte River, since past water exposure causes hidden corrosion. Finally, gather any past permit records before requesting plumbing services.
