"The problem turned out to be a burned out small electric door switch. I believe the price was way too expensive for the service performed and the price of the door switch. What more can I say? It got done."

Emergency services offered

"I had a 1970 master bath that was full of army green tile and even an army green tub. Gradie pulled out the tub and put in a walk in shower. It was quite the job - as most of the room was tiled. They removed all of it and put in new walls. All the plumbing had to be redone and then the shower installed. I couldn't be happier with the work that was done. Gradie is easy to talk to and make good recommendations. I am glad I found this company on Angi's list."

I am a young business owner and brand new father! I have worked all over the construction industry from a young age and became a licensed plumber before I finished highschool. The name “One man” Freelancing was inspired by my service in the WV national guard where I still currently serve as the “one man” a term given to the cannon crewmember who loads and fires the artillery cannons. I have a broad range of knowledge and problem solving skills, if I don’t know how to do the job I will surely be able to learn and you will not be disappointed with results!

Electrical questions, answered by experts

When reviewing quotes for electrical work in Logan, watch for missing details about materials, labor, or timelines. Be wary of unusually large upfront payments, pressure to commit quickly, or a lack of references from recent local projects. If the quote doesn’t mention necessary permits or seems much lower than others, it may indicate shortcuts or unfamiliarity with Logan’s specific electrical requirements.

Helpful?

Combining electrical upgrades with other projects like HVAC, plumbing, or insulation in Logan can streamline scheduling and reduce labor overlap. Coordinating these improvements allows for shared inspections and fewer disruptions. For best results, plan projects during milder weather and communicate your full renovation goals to your contractor. This approach can also help address future energy needs and improve your home’s overall efficiency.

Helpful?

Planning electrical projects in Logan means considering mountain weather, potential flooding, and ground movement from past mining. Remote areas may face longer delivery times and limited contractor availability. Always factor in the need for backup power and be prepared for seasonal fluctuations in material and labor supply. Local inspection schedules can also affect project timelines, so plan accordingly.

Helpful?

In Logan, electrical upgrades can impact interconnected systems like HVAC, well pumps, or security setups—especially in older homes. Ask your contractor for a home electrical assessment to identify any shared circuits or controls. Because Logan homes often have unique layouts, discuss how changes might affect heating, water, or internet service to avoid unexpected disruptions during your electrical project.

Helpful?

Common mistakes in Logan include skipping required permits, attempting DIY electrical work, or hiring contractors without local experience. Homeowners sometimes underestimate their power needs or forget to plan for backup power, which is crucial in rural areas. Ignoring local flood risks or proper grounding requirements can lead to safety issues and costly repairs, so always consult a qualified professional familiar with Logan’s conditions.
