"Bath Fitters was by far the fastest and most competent shower installer that we had talked to. Pricing was comparable to other places but the thing that sold us was how personable Kenny was at the estimate. They saw us within 24 hours, gave us a quote, and we were set up with a payment plan with ease."

"I hired Neli over a week period for 3 different appliances, my dryer, washing machine, dishwasher, and even kitchen sink! I had a fantastic experience: 1. I fixed my dryer with Thomas' excellent remote guidance, changing the timer and the switch! Fabulous guidance Thomas, with lots of money saved! I learned a lot in the process. 2. I determined that there was no dishwasher leak and in the process learned how to check for leaks and trouble shoot for some common repair issues. It cost $40.00 but as I had some water on the floor, I was ready to get a new dishwasher. Now, I am confident that it wasn't a leak and caused by putting in the dishes in a funny manner and not a repair issue. I am using the dishwasher now again with no problem. 3. I determined with Thomas' help that the washing machine had a major problem and could have spun out of control into my wall....no question, it was time to get a new washing machine! This was a well spent $40.00--I even got Thomas advice on purchasing a new washing machine and what to look for. 4. I checked the drainage on my kitchen sink and learned how to empty out the "trap" and that most likely, I am okay, but what to swap out if I have continuing issues with slow drainage. In the end, I saved lots of money, gaining and learning valuable experience! Absolutely fabulous service!"

"Our family hired MAC Group to correct items found on a structural report we had completed prior to placing our 50 year old family home on the market. We hired MAC Group to repair structural issues as well as a few other issues found with our 50 year old home. Repairs included but are limited to: installation of multiple interior and exterior tiebacks, sump pump, interior foundation drain installation and other repairs that are commonly needed on an older home in WV. Mac group did a fantastic job on all items of repair listed on our structural report. The men working and managing the job were extremely professional and easy to work with. Mac Group is very well versed in home and foundation repairs and it shows in the completed product. These gentleman take pride in their work and made sure everything was back in place, cleaned and in top condition prior to leaving the site. Cody was incredible to work with and I highly recommend this company."

"Andrew from A-1 services is extremely potie and courteous I reside in a very rural area which is an hour and 20 minute drive from Andrew's place if business, and he still drove the distance to clean out our septic tank, when one other septic cleaning service was much closer in distance and this other company told me my home was too far to come and service our tank. So ery grateful and thankful for A-1 Services LLC."

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

A sewage ejector pump is necessary if you have any plumbing fixtures, such as a bathroom, laundry room, or sink, located below the level of your home's main sewer line. Standard plumbing relies on gravity to move wastewater and solid waste to the municipal sewer or septic tank. However, for fixtures located below grade (e.g., in a basement), gravity is not sufficient.

The purpose of a sewage ejector pump is to actively pump this wastewater and solid waste upward into the main sewer line. Without an ejector pump in this situation, wastewater would have no way to exit and would eventually back up, causing a sewage overflow or flooding in your basement. If all of your home's plumbing is on the main floor or higher, gravity can handle the drainage, and an ejector pump is not needed.

Yes, you can pour water down the toilet to help it flush. For each flush, you’ll need 1 to 2 gallons of water for newer toilets or 3 to 5 gallons of water for older toilets. Rather than dumping the entire bucket in all at once, pour the water in slowly for the best results. If you’re pouring water down the toilet to help it flush after a clog, only use 1 gallon of hot water.

Yes, and no. Your shower, toilet, and sink all connect to the same main drain, but the secondary drains going from each fixture to the main drain are usually separate. This isn’t always the case—especially in older homes—but since toilets contain black water and showers, tubs, and sinks have grey water, toilets are more regulated and come at a greater risk of contamination. It’s best to keep these drains separate using individual waste collection for this reason.

Professionals use augers, hydrojetting equipment, and cameras for precise clearing and inspection.

Plumbing leaks are usually not covered by homeowners insurance because the problems are avoidable with proper maintenance. In most cases, you’ll have to pay out of pocket for a fix. However, if the leak is a direct result of a natural disaster, like an earthquake that cracked a pipe or a house fire, your insurance may cover the repairs.
