The work began on a timeline I was satisfied with, I needed to be flexible due to my work schedule and they had a lot of work going on due to recent hail damage so the dates of the work were fine with me. The heat outdoors was a factor, but they stuck to their work plan and got the jobs done in a short timeframe. The workers were all friendly, professional and very skilled at what they do. They did excellent work and you can tell they take pride in their work. They also made recommendations and I took advantage of that advice and the company was nice about adding some things I had not thought about.initially. They cleaned up completely after each job. In closing, I am completely satisfied with the work that was done to my home. I did not have to ask for a single thing to be done twice, and when I asked for slight modifications that needed to be revisited they were good about coming back and making the adjustments. I still have a contract left to be completed in September but I'm very happy with my choice to use this company. The quality of work makes the recommendation easy. I give them a strong A for their service P.S. Something to think about unrelated to the service provided by this contractor: I did have worries when material had to be left overnight because I live on a visible corner lot and the material sparked some unwanted attention. I guess times are hard out there, I felt I lived in a pretty nice neighborhood but that had no bearing on the risk. I kept things in a locked fenced area but still had two unwanted visits. Lucky for me the thieves in my area was clumsy both times and dropped their loot. Plus my dog was doing his job along with the motion lighting...but it did lead to a couple of sleep deprived nights. I ended up locking things I could carry in the garage a couple of times just to make sure nothing stopped my project from moving forward."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/ok/oklahoma-city/discount-remodelers-reviews-3281326.htm"},"position":5},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"WALLACE VAN & STORAGE CORP","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"WV","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"David W."},"reviewBody":"When we decided to move into our first home after years of being renters we looked at local companies. Wallace Van & Storage Corporation came very highly recommended. We contacted them and the owner came into our home and gave us an estimate on what it would cost to pack and move our entire home. Once completed we were assurred that this move of less than 15 miles away would only take one day. I questioned the owner if he did background checks on his movers, as I am a Probation Officer and cannot be too careful. I was assurred by the owner that he thoroughly checks out all employees. We signed the contract and on the day of the move the mover were scheduled to begin at 7:30 am. They arrived over an hour late and had no packing supplies and informed us that they were not told that they were supposed to pack the home as well as move it. One of the movers was a known probationer which placed me in a very precarious situation, against the assurances of the owner that they thoroughly checked out all movers. It took the movers all day to pack the home, and at approximately 6:00 pm I was informed that there would be no way that they could get the truck to the new home and unpack it as was agreed upon. One mover went so far as to have his girlfriend come to my home, where he proceeded to make out with her in the moving truck. I informed them that this was not acceptable as all the beds, include the beds of my 1 and 2 year old children were packed. I contacted the owner and was assurred that they would remain until the job was complete. Upon arrival at the new home the movers did not fulfill their contract and set up the beds and most items that were haphazzardly packed in boxed were left in my garage. The movers lost the parts to my two children's cribs and could not reassemble them. I again contacted the owner, who came to the new home and again assurred me that they would make it right. After hours of searching for the missing parts I informed the owner that they would be responsible for replacing the beds that their movers made useless. The owner went to Wal-Mart to replace the beds and later called to inform her workers that there were no replacement beds....she did not even tell me this herself or call me directly. At approximately 12:30 am the movers left my home, forcing my wife and I to sleep on the floor with the children sleeping in their swings. The next day I contacted the owner, who had the nerve to tell me that we would still have to pay for the moving. I informed her that if I saw a bill, she would see a lawsuit. I will never use Wallace again, and will warn all my friends and family against this. This company is not only trustworthy, it under promises and over delivers. Second, the crew was great. Having literally just experienced the interstate move from hell, I was dreading even this short-hop move. Topline's top rating on Angie's List did not even sooth my nerves. But when the crew arrived 10 minutes early, select the closest place to load the truck (discovering a side entrance to the storage room that I did not know existed), and start moving furniture, I knew things were completely different this time. What was outstanding about the crew is that they really seemed to enjoy their job. They were skilled and careful. Even the newbie (third crewman) was very focused and careful to follow the lead of the more experienced men in the crew. Heck, I even enjoyed shooting the *explicit* with them. These were solid guys, doing honest work, and doing it well. My husband had to dig up and show them our original binding contract to prove otherwise. They started the project with two guys who worked at a snail's pace beginning at around 1:00 p.m. for about 5 hours, then two more guys showed up to move; even then it took until midnight to get the job done. This was despite the fact that my husband and I packed up most of the house using our own totes. All they had left to pack was paintings, stuff in cabinets and drawers; there is no way on earth if they knew what they were doing it would have taken more than a dozen large boxes to get that done. We have pictures to tell part of the story, suffice it to say various items that should have been moved were left squirreled away in various closets and rooms. Additionally, trash and packing materials were left throughout the house and also dumped in front of our house. Just cleaning up the stuff from the house took 3 large garbage bags. Additionally, bolts, screws and other essential pieces of our dissembled furniture were found laying around the house as well as similar pieces to my weber grill in the backyard. The packing service bordered on the absurd--my husband saw one guy individually wrapping utensils--and they only used the largest boxes possible. They also tore up and used pieces of large boxes to pack our furniture and paintings instead of blankets. The final blow was the carrier making no attempt to communicate the delivery date until 8 days after the expiration of the latest estimated delivery date and then holding delivery hostage (10 days late) to our paying $6,143.29 in cash or cash equivalents. The amount in excess of our broker-procured binding estimate includes an amount attributed to excess packaging and excess weight. There was no excess packaging except through the carrier's bizarre and unilateral decision to use the largest possible boxes instead of blankets to wrap our furniture and for everything else that needed packing (apparently in a deliberate effort to exceed our binding estimate because they did so only after my husband presented them with a copy of the binding estimate which specifically includes various boxes). The excess weight is outrageous because the broker represented that the binding estimate weight was the most we could possibly expect. The carrier has refused to reweigh the delivery before receipt of payment in the asserted (and disputed) full amount. Today, my husband had the pleasure of being screamed at in four letter words by the company's driver when he asked for his commercial driver's license number and immigration status."},"url":"https://www.angi.com/companylist/us/il/chicago/best-price-moving-and-storage-inc-reviews-76722.htm"},"position":9},{"@type":"ListItem","item":{"@type":"LocalBusiness","name":"Walser Honda","address":{"@type":"PostalAddress","addressRegion":"WV","addressCountry":"US"},"review":{"@type":"Review","author":{"@type":"Person","name":"Nicole D."},"reviewBody":"It was an incredibly good experience. "I cannot say enough great things about All Service Moving—and ESPECIALLY Rico and Reyes, who were absolute lifesavers for my last-minute move. After another moving company bailed on me the day before my scheduled move, All Service swooped in and saved the day. Rico and Reyes showed up EARLY, upbeat, and ready to tackle the challenge—even with super heavy furniture that usually requires a 4-person crew. Somehow, the two of them handled everything like pros without a single scratch or ding—on the furniture or either home. What really stood out was how personable, kind, and thoughtful they were. They moved quickly and efficiently, knowing I was paying by the hour, but never once sacrificed care or quality. They were kind to my mom (who was helping me out), and so sweet to my two dogs too. If you’re planning a move, ask for Rico and Reyes by name. They went above and beyond, and I want their team to know what a fantastic job they did. They deserve every bit of recognition. 100% recommend."

"The 2 people who actually showed up were professional, although they arrived very late, which I attribute to three poor management. I was quoted 3 guys for 8 hours, and only 2 showed up. They attempted to overcharge me the original quote. Long story short, Tower contracted a local company and did a poor job of handing over the job."

"Three employees were on site. Yet, one employee decided to move a 76” glass door wall unit himself. He dropped the piece off of the lift. Badly damaged. It would cost a conservative estimate of $3000 to replace. We found a reputable furniture restoration person to restore the piece. $750. The General Manager accused us of extortion because we wanted the full $750. He said that we should have bought the insurance for an additional $200 with a deductible. How is this fair when their employee was at fault?? We left a message with VP Adam in corporate. We were told that he would return our call in 48 hours. Still no call after 9 days ago & additional phone calls."

"In spite of numerous negative reviews about Move Quick, Inc., I opted to hire this company for my move from West Virginia to Los Angeles. I spoke to Phillip, the manager/owner, who convinced me that the posted complaints had been resolved and were exaggerations. However, I, too, was subjected to an exaggerated low bid in order to snag my business. I, too, experience problems with the pick up and the delivery dates. The movers were a day late in arriving, then quoted me a 67% increase in price, from $3,100 to $5,200. BUT I was stuck. The company already had my deposit money. Also, I was charged for one flight of stairs and an exaggerated inaccurate measurement of my front door to the truck. I had been told there was no fee for one flight. I had provided exact measurements for the items in my two rooms of furniture. True, I had 51 boxes instead of 40 but that did not warrant such an increase in price, 67% almost $2,000. Delivery was also problematic. I had told Move Quick, Inc. that I would be at my new home 25 days after the pick up, October 30, 2019. That should have been more than enough time for any truck to drive cross country. They made me wait until December 4, 2020, a total of 25 days to drive 2,400 miles. I made the drive solo in 5 days. Communication with the company once they have your money is near to impossible. It took threats and 6 days for Philip to respond. He then provided an insignificant $75 discount. My recommendation: go with a larger company than can provide an accurate estimate and deliver within a reasonable time. Also, use a company that uses the industry standard of moving cost based on the weight of your items. Don’t let Phillip tell you his method of charging based on volume is better. No one else does this, for a reason. Other estimates I had received were in the $3,700 range.I should have Booked Elsewhere!”"

FAQs for professional moving service piano projects in Chester, WV
Before your piano movers arrive, it’s a good idea to prep the piano for its journey to avoid damage, as well as clear a path to make the move as easy as possible. You can start by using bubble wrap and moving blankets to protect the keys, lids, and pedals. Drape moving blankets over the piano and secure them, if possible, to protect the surface from damage. Next, clear furniture and other obstructions out of the path from the piano to the door. It’s also wise to maintain a close spot for the moving truck to park out front.
Yes, it is absolutely worth it to hire piano movers. Pianos are heavy and bulky, which makes them very challenging to move safely and without causing damage to the piano and your home. Hiring piano movers is especially worthwhile if you need to move the instrument up or down staircases, as that can put you and your helpers at risk of serious injury. Overall, the price you’ll pay to hire a professional piano mover pales in comparison to the damage you could do to your piano or your home if you attempt the move yourself.
It is not necessary to tip piano movers, and workers from reputable companies generally won’t expect tips. However, if you’re pleased with the service and the movers are friendly and respectful, tipping can show your appreciation for how well the crew cared for what is likely a very expensive instrument. Tipping between $20 and $40per mover is about average.
It is certainly possible to move a piano without hiring movers, but it’s not recommended. Not only will you need at least four people to lift and maneuver the piano, but getting it around tight corners and down flights of stairs might not be possible without the help of movers. Plus, pianos are exceptionally heavy and bulky, which means you and any helping hands are at risk of injury, as well as an increased risk of damaging your piano. Ultimately, it’s always worth it to call in a professional piano mover.
The average cost to move a piano is around $400, but your total will depend on the type of piano and your living situation—tight corners and flights of stairs will complicate the move. Moving an upright piano will be more affordable—around $250—and a full grand piano will cost closer to $550. Long-distance moves will bump all of these prices up and sometimes double them if the move is across state lines.
