"I had another carpet installer do the initial install, and was so dissatisfied that I didn't even want him back in my house. Dave came in and corrected the problems, charged a fair price, and was in and out in no time. Wish I had found him to sooner."

"We couldn't be happier. The owner came out and measured, then came out again to make sure of his measurements. We picked out vinyl tile from the showroom to replace an old wood laminate floor. The crew, Steve and Dwayne, were very professional. They made sure to ask questions about what we wanted. They went right to work and cleaned everything up each day and went over what they did before going home. I was so happy with their attention to detail to make sure everything looked right. The end result was super! They are artisans in their profession."

"Tony's son came to do the cleaning. He was very polite and did a great job cleaning the carpets and removing the stain I thought were permanent. The carpets look very clean and stain free. I would definitely use this service again!"

"John is very attentive and explains everything before he starts and he asks me to weigh in. We installed an ADA bathroom for my husband, with heated floors. I wanted a spa feel. Everyone who enters the bathroom says. "I LOVE THE TILE" With John's expertise, he helped make my dreams come true. John was great at communicating. His personality made him feel like family, not a contract, and he went above and beyond. I will definitely be hiring him again when we replace our kitchen floors. If you are looking for a tile job to be done, look no further; you have found the right guy. Before and after pictures"

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

DIY is possible for small projects. Professional services ensure precision and long-lasting results.

No, you don’t need to remove the old grout before installing new tile over existing tile. In fact, the old grout helps fill in gaps between tiles, creating a more even surface for the new layer. However, it's important to ensure that the grout is clean, solid, and free of cracks or crumbling areas. Damaged grout should be repaired or replaced before proceeding. Cleaning the surface thoroughly and filling any low spots will help the new adhesive bond properly and ensure a smooth, stable installation.

The best trowel for penny tile is a 3/16-inch-by-5/32-inch V-notch trowel. Because of the small size of the penny tile, you want a trowel with small notches that can lay a thin layer of mortar on the surface you’re tiling. If the notches are too wide, you risk applying too thick of a layer of mortar, and it can squeeze out between the penny tiles.

If you want your ceramic tiles to be evenly spaced and installation to take less time, spacers are a crucial part of the installation process.

For professional labor and materials, it would cost between $6,000 and $28,000 to install 1,000 square feet of Saltillo tile flooring. If that’s out of your budget, you could consider laying the tiles yourself or choosing a less expensive type of flooring. For example, vinyl flooring costs just $2 to $7 per square foot, so for a 1,000-square-foot space, you’d pay $2,000 to $7,000.
