"My recent interaction with C&S Flooring Installation was perfect from start to finish. Chad immediately responded to my email to set up an appointment on the next available business day. He was very professional and sensitive to my needs by offering me options that allowed me to stay within my budget. He communicated his tenative plan and finished the job on time. C&S was very efficient, professional and knowledgeable. In less than a week after putting in my request, I have a beautiful new floor in my master bathroom and kitchen. Thanks for the great service!"

"Rudy came to do an estimate on my basement. He was very quick and was able to give me a ton of different options on what he could install in my basement. He gave me a very reasonable price compared to most companies."

"Once I sent her all the measurements, it took her a little while to get the options back to me.  Overall, they're good designs.  However, they're very simplistic and give general ideas for space planning.  I was hoping to have a better idea for sizes of furniture for the space and some variations on staging.
Jill was very responsive when I did have a question.  I'm not sure how helpful it is to have a virtual design done.  If we lived in similar cities, I'd probably use her again for help with additional designs.

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

Costs range from $5 to $15 per square foot for installation and $150 to $600 for repairs, depending on the material and complexity.

Yes. You can tile over tile if the old tile is in good shape, but this will also create a thicker floor. As a result, you may have to remove and readjust baseboards and other room trimmings and potentially even raise door heights to work with the higher floors. In most projects, it’s best to remove the old tile before installing a new tile floor.

Impact, water infiltration, or shifting subfloors often cause damage. Regular inspections help prevent significant issues.

Different types of tile cutters may work best depending on the type of tile you are cutting and the size of your project. There are two main types of tile cutters: manual and electric. Manual tile cutters are quick and easy to use for small projects and softer tile materials, but they can only make straight cuts. Electric tile cutters make light work of big projects and can cut through harder materials.

Thinset mortar is the best adhesive for ceramic tiles on concrete. It is easy to work with and has a slower dry time than mastic or epoxy mortars. This longer dry time gives the installer more time to adjust tiles, which is especially useful for DIYers who may not have tile installation experience. It can also be built up to help level any depressions or gaps in the concrete subfloor.
