I began soliciting other quotes and found Mamayek through Angie's list. Bob came to my house and looked at the system. It was only 11 years old and he had been installing the same unit up to last year. He asked one of his people to look at it. (Another great guy named Bob.) He recognized oil on a line, and found a leak pretty quickly. Bottom line -- these guys could have quoted me a $12,000 job and I'd have probably done it. Instead they did the right thing, the honest thing, and fixed/recharged the system for $600+. People need to know about this -- you can't put a price on character."

"Swimmingly. I interviewed quite a number of HVAC companies for this job by sending out an RPF (Request for Proposal), and Bob Mamayek was unquestionably the most thorough in his on-site evaluation. Installation crew was fantastic. This is a small shop, and it was a true pleasure to have a team of regular guys just getting the job done. I recommend them without reservation. I almost gave them a B for responsiveness because Bob doesn't do a lot of email, but I realized while typing that this would be completely unfair, for two reasons. A) Bob might not respond to email with email, but he did always respond with a phone call. Frankly, that is better on many counts. B) This ignores the amazing response to my RPF, which was both timely and thorough. So, really, this says more about my email-centric life than Mamayek's responsiveness."
