Adam and Pat replaced the screen doors of our two porches. We are very happy with their work and we will certainly ask them to return for future home repair and improvement projects.

  • Thompson Custom Builders
We had an excellent experience working with Thompson Custom Builders/John Thompson. Our project included the addition of a sun room and remodel of the kitchen and bath of our 1907 historic home. Thus, we were looking for a builder who would bring not only expertise but care (and patience) to an old home. Thompson Custom Builders was a perfect fit. John takes time to know his clients and develops a shared vision for a project. He is focused on quality and is professional, knowledgeable, transparent, detail-oriented, and communicative. We were in constant contact with John about details large and small. He knows the business and brings a depth of expertise and relationships that are invaluable in guiding a project from design to execution. The contractor and supplier team John brings to a project are craftspeople who share the same dedication to quality and detail. John and the entire team were friendly and a true pleasure to work with throughout the project. We are thrilled with the results of our remodel, and we would highly recommend Thompson Customer Builders to others read less

  • Frey Construction & Home Improvement, LLC
It is hard to give a review of someone that when they are complete feel like part of the family! As someone who used to work in the construction industry they are unbelievable professional and are there to help! They went above and beyond to make sure not only our roof replacement went well but made sure the little details were taken care of without coming back for most likely justified extra cost because they were already there. They are fair and explain everything very well. One observation that I had while they were here was the Owner Scott came by the jobsite. He knew all of the laborers by name and was bilingual to be able to communicate with his team. I think we should all support local businesses with leaders that treat their employees with respect and kindness. And it is obvious this leadership gets translated into their work. They are an amazing company and if I have a home improvement or need an emergency repair there isn't anyone else I will allow in my house after using Frey read less

Things went fantastically well, I enjoyed working with John Thompson and I'd be happy to hire him again. His subcontractors were all wonderful and a few of them were truly exceptional. His finish carpenter Troy, his painting crew led by Jesus, and his flooring guy Luke we're all really incredible outstanding workmen to deal with. Our project was highly custom, intricate and involved two separate neighboring properties. I highly recommend that if you are considering hiring John and his crew that you don't hesitate and do it right away. I look forward to working with him again in the future read less

Sunroom is an addition to the house, off the dining room, about 4 x 4 sqm Did a wonderful job, people were reliable, very friendly, kept us informed what they were doing and when. Alan, the owner , came frequently to check the work. We only hired our own electrician. Sunroom looks great. Took only a little longer than we thought, but was due to weather related back order read less

Al came to our house, took measurements and gave us a quote for two different quality levels of windows. Both were offered at a pretty attractive discount, though I suspect that had something to do with the economy. There were lots of options for levels of finish, and we ended up doing everything--heated tile floor, cedar siding on the walls and ceiling, etc. It should be noted that we had to procure the tile and the ceiling fan, etc. In addition, there was an allowance for HVAC and for electric, and we paid the contractors separately for any extras here. We paid our deposit and ordered the windows. Construction started on time, and proceeded on schedule. The quality of the work is excellent. We're very happy with the space read less

It went well. We love the finished product. The job took a bit longer than expected due to rainy weather but they pulled out all the stops to get it as done as much as possible for a big party we were having. They were professional and pleasant to work with.

Koolview provided a free estimate and free design for a Four Season Victorian Conservatory Sunroom. They explained the project in detail and gave us a 3D design of the completed project. I was provided with references of past customers. When I met with the people they worked with the customers had only great things to say about their sunroom and the project team. This was especially appreciated after my bad experience with a previous contractor that we left. Everyone working on the project was great: great technical knowledge, professional and genuinely nice guys. Easy to work with, everything went smoothly. The guys took time to explain different options as well as the different scenarios that could happen while performing the work. They took the time to clean up after being done. Excellent work and excellent service! The project far exceeded our expectations! Thanks Koolview team read less

We found Kool View at a builders expo. Had the sales man out to discuss the 3-Season porch conversion. The quality of work was very high. After they started their work we added on additional services. Work was done very professionally and the crew was a pleasure to have in our house. They always worked in a very systematic way to keep our house warm and insulated despite the huge holes they needed to cut for the new windows and doors. They found and would replace ant or water damaged wood without asking and without pointing out to us what a great job they were doing. They replaced it because it was the right way to do things. The main carpenter we had on our particular job, in addition to being a very skilled carpenter, was a lot of fun and a great guy. I plan on asking for Monte for any of our future carpentry needs read less

  • Kool View Co
Kool View looked like they were doing a good job and everything. They were going to do the construction using a different technique and we just kind of like what we are doing with a different vendor better. We had them put in a sun room many years ago and they did an excellent job at that point and that's one of the reason why we actually had them bid on another project. They did it promptly, only there was a little hold-up with the cement contractor.Their bid looks good and everything, we just decided not to go with them. It wasn't that we had a bad experience with them or anything; we have to decide who we're going to go with. They were going to charge a little more but not that much more. The bid was competitive. The guy that came out and talked with us was impressive. It was well presented. Some contractors, they say yeah and when they come back and present it, it wasn't exactly what we wanted. They were very responsive to anything that we suggested. We called people that they had done projects with and they were happy with the results. They come whan theyt say they're going to come. They're all very pleasant read less
