He spotted an issue with a related system (humidifier) while he was working on the air conditioner and simply disabled the unit for me so the cracked tube wouldn't leak, without trying to up-sell me on further repairs. "It's 8 PM, 80 degrees outside with the same for humidity, and I noticed that the temperature in the house is getting warm. After doing some troubleshooting, I found out the compressor for the A/C had shut off. I called Comfort By Design's emergency number and within minutes the technician that was on call, called me back. He explained that since the outside temperature was dropping to the 60's that evening, that maybe we should wait until morning to perform a repair, IF a suggestion he made did not pan out. So come morning, the compressor was still not working, I called their office at 7:15 and scheduled a technician to come out. Being that it was starting to get very warm and the calls were coming in, I figured that it would be late in the afternoon. To my pleasant surprise, they were at the house by 8:30, and 15 minutes later they had it fixed (it was a relay that needed to be reset). I was very pleased with the response and the quickness in which the problem was solved. I will continue to use them for my heating and air conditioning needs."

"The person explained everything before starting and gave a few options as how to work with the type of register covers we had. He completed the job in the time frame given and cleaned up. The only downfall I had was when they explained that due to the service the air filter should be replaced and because of that they would provide a free air filter. When I went to the website on the card they provided and entered the code found out the free filter that would fit my furnace still cost me. Yes I would use them again and the job they did was 5 star."
