"I decided on Friday to do the furnace replacement. Two hours later, Craig was out to take detailed measurements. They had the furnace installed on Tuesday, during a snow and ice storm. They were very respectful and explained everything they had done."

"The workers were very experienced and friendly. Cleaned up everything Done in a timely fashion. The only problem was that they do not do the entire bathroom. They only do what is called the wet part. So the tub was taken out and the walls around the tub were taken down to the studs. But the ceiling over that area was not done. So it is hard to find a company that will finish the work because they do not want to ruin the shower doors. No one wants to do just the medicine cabinet and light and sink and toilet. The gentleman that wrote up the order said that it wouldn’t be difficult to find someone to finish the job. That was misleading because it is difficult."

"Alberto and Elizabeth helped us through a complicated remodeling of two bathrooms with title suggestions, a quality vanity and quartz vanity top as well as trying to schedule the work to be completed in a timely fashion. While it took longer than expected, each crew of workers tried their best to make the job right including some things that had to be redone. The final results, which included removing one wall and rebuilding a shower stall in one bathroom, are dramatic and beautiful. I would recommend this company."

"We moved into our home about three years ago.  Our home was painted brick on the first floor and cedar siding everywhere else.  We knew that we needed to either paint everything which would include a carpenter to replace a large percentage of the cedar siding due to rotting wood or replace it with some other material.  After a lot of research on siding materials I found that Hardy Plank was what we wanted to replace our cedar siding with.  Hardy Plank comes with a 30 year warranty and the only recomended company by the James Hardy company was Watry Homes.
I was extremely pleased with the response I received from Watry Homes.  They were very communicative from the beginning of the project. They were also able to fit us in right away and accommodated our schedule.  The crew they sent out was beyond wonderful. Not only did they do an impeccable job with their instillation but they were pleasant to have around. The Job site was kept as clean as possible considering the work that was being done.  I would absolutely recommend Watry Homes without hesitation."

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

Small bathroom renovation costs don’t have to break the bank. A $5,000 budget is realistic, provided you're not adding luxurious fittings or making complex layout changes. Changing the layout is the most costly aspect of renovating a bathroom. So if you keep the layout, do some of the job DIY (within your skillset), and use relatively affordable fixtures and accessories, you should be able to stay within your budget.

Yes, you can remove a bathtub yourself if you have previous DIY experience and basic plumbing knowledge. You should have at least one other person help you if you approach this project as a DIY. However, hiring a plumber or bathroom remodeling pro can prevent accidental damage from demolition or water leakage.

While they’re heavier than their counterparts, cast-iron tubs are very simple to maintain. They have no seams and are durable, making them the easiest tub to maintain. While fiberglass and acrylic tubs are also relatively simple to maintain, they often have seams, making maintenance a little more difficult.

Whether converting a tub to a shower is worth it depends on your personal circumstances and priorities. For many, a shower is a safer option that reduces the risk of slip-and-fall accidents, making it a valuable upgrade. It can also be a worthwhile conversion if a shower is more practical for your lifestyle and you rarely use the tub. However, there are potential downsides to consider. The cost, which can range from $1,200 to $8,000, can be a deterrent. Additionally, if you have young children, a bathtub is often easier for bathing them. Finally, removing the only bathtub in a home can potentially lower its resale value in the eyes of some buyers.

The water supply lines run underneath the bathtub. These two pipes deliver cold and hot water to the bathtub—the cold water comes from the main water supply, and the hot water comes from the water heater. The pipes are made from copper, cream-colored plastic CPVC, or red and blue PEX tubing.
