"Great presentation by Nick. Very nice, informative, professional and knowledgeable. Super quality products and vert6competitive pricing. Because of very busy installation schedules, it will take 4-6 weeks before walkin shower remodel can happen. We can wait, no problem. It will be worth it."

"The inspection turned into a new furnace and air conditioner. I decided to take advantage of their special of $1000 off if you replace both. Mine were old enough so that I decided to replace rather than repair. Technicians were very pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional."

"I had used Miracle Method a number of years ago in a different house, despite dire warnings from friends that it wouldn't hold up. Five years later, it still looked like the tub was brand new. Subsequently, I had a landlord contract another service for a tub refinish, and that started to peel in 8 months. By a year, the tub looked different from the way it had before the work was done -- but just as bad.
In my new house, the bathtub and tile walls looked really gross. It had been kept clean, but there were rust stains from the enamel being worn off the bottom of the tub, and there were several gouges in the finish along the top. In addition, there was staining where a shower door had been. The tile surround had stained and cracked caulking, and the tiles themselves looked worn. My experience told me that it wasn't worth going with the less expensive company, so I saved my pennies for Miracle Method. I had a ton of questions, and the owner sent me very long and detailed answers before I went ahead and scheduled. The technician was on time to the minute, and when he left about 4 hours later, I couldn't believe how good it looked. If I had another tub to do, I would -- and I have already recommended the company. The one caveat I would add:  if I were to do it again, I'd head to a friend's house or even a motel for a couple of days, until the smell dissipated. It smells like nail polish remover, and I admit to being really sensitive to smells. It didn't help that it was a cold fall day, so I couldn't leave the window open, and it took two days for the smell to be gone. But the end product was totally worth it.

Bathtub Replacement questions, answered by experts

While tubs are fairly sturdy, you may notice cracks or holes. This kind of damage can happen from someone accidentally dropping something heavy into the tub. You might also see damage if you drop something heavy into the tub over and over again (like your extra large bottle of body wash). While you might only notice a small dent at first, this can later turn into a crack or a hole.

Also, certain cleaners that are harmful to your tub can cause damage. And if you have a fiberglass tub, you might see cracks if it was not installed properly with the right support.

While they’re heavier than their counterparts, cast-iron tubs are very simple to maintain. They have no seams and are durable, making them the easiest tub to maintain. While fiberglass and acrylic tubs are also relatively simple to maintain, they often have seams, making maintenance a little more difficult.

The water supply lines run underneath the bathtub. These two pipes deliver cold and hot water to the bathtub—the cold water comes from the main water supply, and the hot water comes from the water heater. The pipes are made from copper, cream-colored plastic CPVC, or red and blue PEX tubing.

Different bathtub materials have various advantages and disadvantages. Cast iron and copper are considered the most durable materials because they are dense and resistant to damage from scratches or dents. However, cast-iron tubs are heavy, expensive, and may not be suitable for upper floors. Copper offers unique benefits but requires regular chemical treatment to prevent a patina from forming, making cast iron a less maintenance-intensive option. Porcelain is a good second choice for durability. For those on a budget, acrylic is a popular option, though it is less durable.

Technically, yes, you can put a shower on a Roman tub, but it's not common. The vast majority of Roman tubs are standalone models. Adding a shower would involve installing a ceiling-mounted curtain rod or a custom glass enclosure, as well as redoing the plumbing, making it neither easy nor budget-friendly.
