"This company is shady and completely unresponsive. Signed a contract to have my work done Nov of 2021. Said it would be 6 weeks. I contacted the company after waiting 4 months to have my work done, I wanted to cancel the contract and have them reimburse me. I called multiple times with no response. I finally sent a later after 5 months informing them again, I do not want to do business with them. I finally received AN EMAIL response that they wouldn't cancel. Customer service is terrible and at this point, I am still waiting to be reimbursed from them. Highly recommend doing business elsewhere."

Drain Pipe Installation questions, answered by experts

Replacing a shower drain P-trap costs $150 to $250 for parts and labor. Costs increase to $350 or more if your shower drain assembly is difficult to access or requires more work (like replacing pipes and fittings). If you’re a knowledgeable DIYer, a new P-trap costs $10 to $45.

For optimal home plumbing maintenance, it's generally recommended to schedule a professional inspection annually. This routine checkup helps identify potential issues early on, preventing costly repairs down the road. However, some factors, like the age of your plumbing system and local water quality, can influence the frequency of cleanings. In older homes or areas with hard water, more checks may be necessary. Regular maintenance can include checking for leaks, inspecting connections, and ensuring that your pipes and fixtures are in good working condition, contributing to the longevity of your plumbing system.

Anything from debris, rust, ice, and even poor installation can cause clogs in your plumbing vents. Some signs of a clog include slow drains, gurgling sounds in drains and toilets, and bad odors. The bad odors are the most concerning, as these can include methane and hydrogen sulfide. Contact a plumber to come take a look if you notice any of these signs.

The standard size of a pipe for the main water line ranges between 3/4 inch to 1 inch in diameter, but ultimately, the size will depend on your household size and its square footage. Depending on the size of the property, the water line size can range upwards to 1.5” in diameter for a very large house nearing 10,000 sq. ft. Incorrect pipe sizing can lead to potential damages and leaks. To avoid incorrect sizing, consider getting help from a local plumbing professional who can help you choose the right size and material for your pipe.

On average, a plumber will take 30 minutes to two hours to clear a clogged drain. If the clog is located close to the drain or an access point and isn’t severe, the project will take about half an hour. If the clog is deep within your plumbing system or is a severe blockage, it can take two or more hours to remove the clog. For this reason, main line clogs tend to take longer, usually between two and three hours.
