"We had this done several years ago. Compared to other window installers I had experienced in other houses, there was hardly any mess inside the house. They have kept our heating and cooling costs down. I did not feel pressure to purchase more than I needed at the time. I just finished washing them this spring and they are easy to clean even for a 75 year old. I also was glad to support Wisconsin products and workers."

"Windows are high quality.  Had all windows in the house replaced (20) and Installation was done in a day.  Very happy with the way the windows perform.  Always had some condensation on the old windows but not with these."

"Jody Anderson was the only person willing to help me with my cracked window pane. He went way above and beyond the call of duty. He was willing to come out on Saturday, just before we got the 4.9 inches of snow. I only wish I would of known Jody before. He has such knowledge and does excellent work, I can never "Thank" him enough, Every company I called was out weeks to months out, but Jody came out ASAP. I would highly recommend Jody to everyone. Thank heaven there are still people who really care. Great service is really hard to come by theses days."

"We have the new windows for almost two years now and no problems at all. I believe we are saving money on our heating cost, and the best is that we can keep our humidity at 40 to 45 percent without steaming up the windows. The installers are professional and clean up after themselves."

Windows questions, answered by experts

Yes, storm windows should be tempered. According to the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors, tempered glass is stronger and can withstand temperatures higher than laminated glass. Tempered glass is important for storm windows because it protects against outside elements and household accidents by not producing sharp, jagged pieces when it breaks or shatters.

Installing bifold windows can take anywhere from three or four hours to several days. Smaller bifold windows that open vertically and fit inside your existing wall opening should take just a few hours and no longer than a day. Larger bifold windows, especially wider ones, may require structural work before your professional can install the window. The installation could take two to three days, depending on how much work your wall needs.

Folding window installation costs about $1,600 on average, ranging from $500 to $3,000. The cost factors of this project include the size, the type of folding windows, the number of panels, and the type of glass. Different types of folding windows include:

  • Standard folding window: $200 per linear foot

  • Glazed folding window: $240 per linear foot

  • Standard folding window and swing door: $1,000 per linear foot

  • Folding window and sliding door: $2,000 per linear foot

Rotting wood, frame misalignment, or damaged seals often require attention.

The differences between a bay window versus a bow window involve the number of individual windows and the angle at which both windows extend from the home. A bow window has four to six individual windows that form a curve outside the exterior wall. A bay window usually has two small windows on the edges that angle outward from the exterior wall and a large window in the middle that’s parallel to the home’s exterior wall.
