"Scheduling was easy and Kurt showed up exactly when he said that he would. I received prompt and clear answers to all my questions. The install went quickly and the final result was neat and tidy. I'd be happy to recommend KJM plumbing any time."

"We started having trouble with the floor drain backing up and it was pretty obvious that there was something slowing flow from the main line of the house. I called Cardinal on a Tuesday evening and they set me up with an inspection for noon by the next day. They were running ahead of schedule, so they contacted me to see whether I would be ready an hour earlier. I was, so their service man Robert Welch can out very promptly, helped identify the location of the cleanout for the main line, and got to work. He ended up chiseling out the cap which had never been opened for the life of the house. He was able to clean out some minor tree root growth from the line, inspect the line with a scope, and guarantee the work in about 3 hours. He was careful to clean up from all of his work and was very polite during the visit. When all was said and done, I had a working sewer line within 24 hours of my phone call. I am happy to recommend Robert and Cardinal to others for quick drain cleaning service."

"Mad City windows and Bath exceeded expectations in a way that was so great. We recently went through a bad storm at the time installation was to be performed and we did not know when we were going to get back into our house. The whole team from rescheduling to the installation process was so smooth and easy on us and the quality of work is exceptional! I would definitely recommend this company."

"Good. They scheduled the appointment, came on time, professionally installed the system and gave me a test kit to make sure radon was abated, which it was."

Customers say: Quality work

"Two projects: Our dryer vent flap would not close. I wanted something more substantial than the original metal flap installed when the house was built. Monte came up with a solution that did not involve cutting into the siding to replace the flap. Works great--no more cold air flowing into the basement! I also needed to have the downspout cut to attach a rain barrel diverter. Monte handled that and went the extra mile to level the rain barrel for me. I will hire Monte again for my next handyman needs.

FAQs for storm drain installation projects in Maple Bluff, WI

The cost to install a drain pipe is $600 on average, but the total can range between $150 and $2,000. Some cost factors that influence your project price include the type of drain, the area’s accessibility, the proximity of existing drain lines, and whether you’re installing a new drain or replacing an old one. Replacing the p-trap or s-trap under a single fixture will usually cost around $150, while replacing a main drain pipe can cost well over $2,000.

Yes, most states require plumbers to be licensed, and for good reason. Hiring an unlicensed plumber could lead to poor quality work, costly future expenses, and potential code violations.

As you browse our pro listings, take note of the “Angi Approved” badge. Angi Approved businesses meet our standards for certification which include:

  • The owner, principal, or relevant manager passed a criminal background check

  • Required to have applicable state and local licenses

  • Maintain an average star rating of 3.0 or better on our network, if they have at least one review

  • Paying to advertise their services

  • Meeting any other eligibility criteria required by Angi

Keep in mind licensing is different from certifications. A license is a legal requirement to operate a business, while certifications are voluntary.

We highly recommend leaving the work of replacing drain pipes to a professional plumber. Drain pipes are a key part of your plumbing system, and making mistakes during the installation or even using the wrong size pipes for your specific fixture can lead to an elevated risk of leaks and clogs. Additionally, drain pipes prevent harmful sewer gas from entering your home, so hiring a professional plumber is essential to keeping the risk of leaks and clogs low and avoid reducing your indoor air quality.

The average cost to unclog a drain is around $200, with prices ranging between $110 and $800, depending on the type of drain and the extent of the clog. Hiring a professional to snake the toilet or sink will usually cost between $110 and $275, a bathtub or shower typically costs around $225, and a main line clog can cost between $100 and $800 based on the severity of the clog and how far beyond the access point the clog sits. Since the labor involved varies, most plumbers will charge an hourly rate for drain cleaning.

The average cost to hire a plumber is around $100 an hour but can vary between $45 and $200 an hour depending on the plumber’s experience and the repair that you need. It’s also important to note that these prices can go up on holidays, and emergency plumber rates average $150 per hour, in addition to a flat-rate trip fee of $100 to $350
