"I urgently needed my water softener replaced. He came the same day, made an adjustment to the tank so that the overflow faced the drain and stopped spilling brine onto the water heater. Then he returned the next day and replaced the water softener for a very reasonable price. Kurt responded quickly to texts and my needs."

"Roman’s team did a beautiful job with the paver patio and sod installation. It was transformational! He accommodated all our requests, such as adding compost in my garden bed and adding a cement small slab for a pizza oven. Would definitely recommend for any landscaping needs."

"Most of the employees were conscientious Work lasted about a week and was the installation of a waterproofing system in my interior basement. The cement over the drain is very uneven with the existing flooring in much of the area. No way could carpet be used after this. Anyone contemplating this same kind of work should specify floor must be level and ask to see actual material covering the walls, not just pictures to avoid surprises. Clearly much of my disappointment would have been avoided if I had been more fastidious in my specifications and investigations."

"After our basement flooded twenty years ago, we hired Everdry to replace our drain tile and install a second sump pump and crock. The work was performed in a timely manner and professionally. The workers cleaned up at the end of each day. We have never had any water issues since. Throughout the years, there have been minor sump pump issues and the company is always extremely responsive and usually comes out on the day I call. Given that we have springs underneath our home, the amount of water being pumped out can be excessive during the Spring. Everydry recommended and installed a second discharge line with a second sump pump in the crock to accommodate this large amount of water. I appreciate their knowledge and their fast response time!"

"Everdry came out and waterproofed my basement a couple years ago and it is still dry. I would highly recommend if you have any problems with water in your basement. Good value and very responsive. The crew was very nice and respectful of my home. We feel very confident leaving the house during a storm now."

Storm Drain Installation questions, answered by experts

Storm doors provide an additional barrier for your main entryway and offer several features that can help deter intruders. Many models have glass panels, which let you see who’s outside without opening the door, and others come with their own locks, creating an extra layer of security. For the highest level of protection, it’s best to combine storm and security doors, security cameras, and alarm systems.

Homes need solid construction to survive a hurricane, including these parts:

  • A secure foundation at the right elevation for your home’s flood threat level

  • Hurricane straps to secure your home’s foundation

  • Waterproof basement sealant or rubberized sheeting that directs water away from the foundation

  • A strong, well-attached roof that’s firmly secured to the framing

  • Shutters or roll-down window protectors that you can close outside to prevent broken windows

  • A garage door bracing system to keep high winds from caving in or tearing off the door

  • Deadbolts to keep your exterior doors in place against wind pressure and floodwater

If you’re installing hurricane ties, consider other storm-proofing projects. You could call a window pro to install storm windows, get in touch with a door installer to add storm doors, or just ask your hurricane tie installer what other projects they’d recommend you get done at the same time.

You can install a storm door on almost any door. Storm doors are designed to fit single exterior door frames. Whether a specific door fits into an existing frame depends on the frame's size and configuration. Patio and sliding doors are exceptions, as some aren’t designed to accommodate storm doors. A local door installer may be able to modify a frame to fit a storm door.

Installation begins with removing existing doors if necessary, measuring, and accurately fitting the storm door frame and panel for a tight seal.
