"I am very particular and have used numerous tree companies the last 40 years. I can very highly recommend John and his team. They did a remarkable job removing two very difficult leaning over the lake. Would hire them again."

"Luis and his team were great! I had a large tree that was surrounded by my house, the neighbors house, and a garage. They had it down and the wood stacked neatly in about half a day. Later in the day, I called back to see where the anchors were for my sons playhouse, and Luis said he would check with the crew and call me back. Within 30 min I got a call back saying where they anchors were but not to worry as Luis had already came back and put the playhouse/anchors back in himself. What great customer service!! I would definitely recommend them to others and hire again for future needs."

Customers say: True professional

"The crew came on time and worked steadily throughout the day to remove a very large tree from a fairly small lot. Everyone was polite and respectful. Taking down a tree this size was not a simple job, but these guys really know what they're doing! They cleaned up the area thoroughly when they were finished. Now I don't have to rake leaves this year. Thanks, guys!"

"Robert took care of my tree situation right away. He was precise, and very attentive to details. He worked hard all the time he was here, and hauled everything away himself. It was a pleasure to have had a great tree service, one that I will be sharing with friends and family! If you've got any tree needs, and I mean any, this is the team you need!"

"Started working with them summer of 22. I had purchased a lake home with a lot of landscaping( multiple curving brick walk ways, lots of mulch and plantings) not to mention sloping as the property approached the lake. Marino at Oasis is great to work with, open to communication and his crew is quick and efficient."

Arborists questions, answered by experts

If you’re taking down a tree that you don’t suspect is affected by disease or pests and it’s nowhere near your home or other structures, then calling in a tree company should work fine. However, anything more involved means an arborist is a better option. These pros have years of experience with tree removal and can safely take down trees located next to structures, and they have the tools, sanitization equipment, and experience to remove sick or dying trees without infecting nearby trees.

There are a few differences between tree guying and tree staking. Tree guying requires anchor stakes that are shorter and stronger than regular stakes and are driven deeper into the ground at an angle away from the tree. Tree staking uses longer stakes that are set parallel to the tree and are used for smaller trees. Consult a local tree professional to determine which method is best for your tree.

Once you confirm a tree is dead, you should remove it. Dead trees eventually fall, and larger trees in particular can cause damage to rooftops, fencing, flowers, and other objects. As we mentioned, letting decayed wood stay in your yard also invites risks to the surrounding landscaping and vegetation.

It is possible to burn out a tree stump if it is dried out and in an area of your property with a large buffer. Drill holes in the stump and dig around the base so it burns more easily. Then, build a small campfire on top using kindling and firewood. You’ll need enough to keep the fire going for many hours to completely burn out the stump, especially if it’s large.

Monitor the fire closely to ensure it doesn’t spread, and have a hose on hand if it starts to get out of control. When the fire is out, break apart the burned stump and dig out what’s left of it.

If this sounds like a good option, learn more about how to burn a tree stump before attempting it, as it does come with risks.

Some fast-acting products can rot a tree stump in four to six weeks. Keep in mind, these products contain harsh chemicals that may prevent regrowth in the area. Other products, like fertilizer that contains lots of nitrogen, can enhance the process and rot a stump in about a year. (This is compared to the ten years it can take naturally for a stump to rot.)
