The Hill & Valley Landscaping team lead by Kevin did an awesome job! They were clear on timelines and design throughout the process and did a great job. The crew was courteous, cleaned up the site every day and walked us through the decisions throughout the process. Kevin also was able to have the arborist he works with come in early to accelerate the process. They were doing a great job and we decided we wanted to have the front yard done as well, they were able to quickly quote what we needed and get it done as soon as the back yard was complete. I would highly recommend them!

Kevin and his team managed and completed the project with professionalism and for a reasonable price. I found them to be reliable , respectful, and responsive if I had a concern or question. They listened to my input regarding the project and I appreciated that.They also followed through on whatever they committed to. My overall impression was that they were invested in the outcome and it wasn't " just another job". I'm planning to contract with them again for another project.

It went excellent. They understood what we needed. they gave suggestions that satisfied everything we brought up. They started a few days before they said they would and finished in a little over a week. The patio is beautiful and constructed correctly. The price was reasonable and we felt comfortable working with them rather than other quotes we got.

Kevin and his team are great. They were very punctual and professional with installing the lawn, patio, and landscaping around our house. Kevin is very knowledgeable and was great at listening to what I wanted planted (I wanted plants that represented peace and tranquility, so I provided a list, for them to work off of) around our house. We are definitely hiring Hill and Valley Landscaping again. I want to build a sanctuary in our backyard and Kevin is going to work with me to make it happen. I can’t wait to get started on the next project!!

Hill & Valley did a great job! I needed 7 downspouts and 1 sump pump pipe buried underground. Kevin came out to look at the job and provided me a timely quote. The job involved having to dig under a sidewalk and patio and digging/connecting multiple trenches. I'm very pleased with how it all turned out, especially the clean out connection at the gutters, which exceeded what I had expected. I would definitely recommend to anyone interested in a similar job to give Hill & Valley a call and for any landscaping needs I have in the future, Kevin is getting the first call. Thanks again!

Great. Arrived on time one day specified. Work was done in one day. Owner was there when I arrived home from work to go through what was done, reviewed waterering - both verbal and written istructions and indicated will come back within a week or two to see how the grass is coming in.

The whole story is too long. Service was not delivered timing wise with the original plan based due to lack of planning on landscapers part. After waiting months on his recommendation, many of my plants weren't available as it was too late in the season and the first set of plantings had to be split into two, with much not going into the ground til the following spring. There are some things that look very nice. But there are others that weren't done or handled in an acceptable manner. If you are interested in using this company and receive more than one estimate review the line by line detail carefully and know that for me prices changed between quotes on items to which there were no other requested changes. I also recommend being present to inspect all plants/shrubs before they are planted because I ended up with some substandard plants/trees. Also supervise placement as things were put in places that didn't address discussed concerns such as screening or a evergreen tree planted with a section of bare branches facing the most visible part of the yard. And last they won't stand behind their recommendations and warranty. They did replace one of my trees that shouldn't have been planted in the first place but failed to cover another grouping of evergreens they recommended. (I scrutinized the warranty and the issue was not an exclusion noted in the warranty.)

After having contacted several landscape providers in the area, we chose H&V based on their understanding of our desires, their responsiveness to our questions and our perception of their professionalism. Our choice proved to be a very good one based on the results of both their landscape design their subsequent implementation. We went through several iterations of the landscape design and they were very helpful throughout the process. When it was time to implement the design, communications were accurate and very responsive. The work was completed in 3-1/2 days. The project leader was quick to organize the crew each morning and then they all "dug-in" and went to work, including the project leader. There was no aspect of the project that fell short of our expectations. In fact, there were some aspects of the implementation that could have been the basis for an additional cost that were completed without question or up-charge. We are completely pleased and would highly recommend H&V for landscape design and implementation.

Kevin and his team were fabulous.   The drawings were great and they were very open to making changes and answering questions during the design phase.  

The work was done quickly and everything was cleaned up daily.  The workers were respectful.  

I couldn't figure out how to work the lights that were installed and they sent someone out the very next day to show us. 

We also had three junipers die very quickly after planting.  When we followed up they were very responsive, looked at them right away and without question ordered new ones to replant. 

Overall the communication was excellent, I always received a reply within hours.   The explanation of pricing was clear and they provided print outs, etc. so we could decide on the type of stone, mulch, rock, etc.   I couldn't be more pleased.

The crew arrived around 8:30 am. The lead man, Don, explained what they were going to do and I verified the area. They came with equipment suitable for the job which included a skid loader to remove the grass, a sod cutter and a raking mechanism to loosen the soil. One guy immediately removed existing edging and installed edging to the new design pattern while Don cut old the old sod and then removed to a dump truck. It took most of the day for the job to be completed. They left around 4:30 - 5:00 PM

Great, no problems.  Came in and did what they said they'd do.

After a year in our house, we learned our backyard floods in the spring and basement drips. We had several visits with landscapers and water mitigation groups, also our Village. Trenching and drain tiles were often recommended at a huge cost, and also requiring us to remove most trees on our property and create a swale between us and our neighbor. So expensive. We wanted a solution that could give our spring water a place to go, without having to spend tens of thousands of dollars and destroy our yard.
What I appreciate most is that Kevin and his team were willing to work with us and our budget to find a solution to make it better. We're not fixing it entirely, but we're working to make it better and saving cost. His consultative services, ideas and availability were really great. Communication was quite good, cost was fair and work was done professionally and quickly.
Out of all the landscapers, Hill & Valley was a mid-point on cost, and most willing to customize and work with us to find a middle ground for our problem. Some groups wouldn't even consider our project unless we tiled. So, I most appreciate their willingness to work with us.

It went very well. The patio and border of the sidewalk look excellent. We are very pleased. All of their workers were polite and friendly.

We talked and met with Kevin several times.  Each time he was very easy to talk to and gave several ideas on what could be done.  He was also able to give us a rough price that day where as other companies took weeks to get back to us with a price.  Kevin also came out again before the project started to make sure we were getting exactly what we wanted.  Once the crew arrived they were just as nice to talk to.  They even talked to us once they started to let us know that they wanted to make a slight change in the design of the project which saved us almost $1200.  The crew was very professional and took time to give us updates throughout the project.  We would definitely use them again for another project.  Their price was competitive with all the other quotes that we got and their service was top notch.

Excellent! Kevin worked with us last Fall on our project and we decided to wait until the spring to complete it. He came out on several occasions to walk through the work we needed done.  We had several quotes which were in the same ballpark, some lower and some higher but ultimately we felt that Kevin listened to us the best. The crew who did the work was exceptionally professional.  They worked extremely hard to get the job done efficiently and effectively, despite several rain delays.  They cleaned up very well, including our neighbors yard and driveway as they used it to access our backyard trees which needed removal.  Kevin has come out on a few occasions to check on our final results.  We are very happy with the results.  Our grass is coming up nicely in most areas and we are anxiously awaiting the final results.  Many neighbors have complimented our front yard face lift.  We will definitely be consulting them when we take on a bigger backyard project in the next few years.

They started the job ahead of schedule. The gentlemen that came out were very professional and helpful. They just completed the job today, so I am hopeful the grading will fix our water issue. The paver patio is beautiful!

Kevin, the owner, responded by email setting up a time to quote.  He came to view our location and got a quote to us within 48 hours as promised.  He scheduled the work for 4 weeks after he received the first 50% down payment, and met the schedule as promised.  The work was completed in 6 hours by 2 men, and the results are all that we had hoped for.  We paid the balance in full, and Kevin has since stopped by to see how the grass was coming in.  (It's coming in fine.)  So the follow-up was very much appreciated.

They are a good company.  They were quite personable and the work was well done.  They were timely.

Kevin is excellent! I wanted someone with knowledge of flowers, bushes & trees, instead of someone that would just get the job done. Kevin knew all about the variety of plants in our yard. The first landscaper that I ever had an informed discussion with. NOT someone that will do what you tell them to, just to make a buck.. Knows when it is the right time of the year to trim back plants or bushes and can identify them. He was right on time for the estimate. Got back to us with the estimate very quickly and stayed in touch with us regarding the time line. He gave me a date when they would begin and called me that morning to tell me they were coming. Outstanding job! His crew was right on time and went above and beyond what we had asked them to do.

Really well.  One of the most professional companies I have worked with.  Responsive on phone calls.  Showed up exactly when stated and kept me informed of anything regarding the job.  Worked with me on my questions and thoughts and was respectful to them.  Not one complaint from me.  Cleaned up beautifully and followed up regarding satisfaction of the job.
