"Thermal Comfort exceeded my expectations for scheduling my project, and the quality of their work is excellent. They did a great job of protecting everything prior to application, and the cleanup was done well. As a retired architect and professional engineer, I expect and watch for quality, and was very pleased with this company. I recommend this company to anyone requiring a foam insulation project of fine quality and a good value."

"Tyler was very informative. I did not know much about insulation but he was able to talk me through what he was doing during the whole process. I could tell he knew exactly what he was doing. He was also very professional and clean. I highly recommend Advanced Pro Insulators!"

"Was very happy with the work they did insulating my cathedral ceiling. They were very polite, organized and cleaned up after they had finished working. I could not get all of the old insulation out in some spots and there were some clips that needed to be removed. They took care of that for me, which I greatly appreciated. Great company to deal with. Also, thought their pricing was good."

Customers say: Quick response

"Specific project was attic, dense pack, and foam insulation. Very clean, friendly, and professional crew. Took the time to explain what they were doing, why, and what was wrong with what they found. Did a Focus on Energy assessment along with this work, recommended by Premier North, to make sure we let the science dictate the work. Very impressed with my overall experience."

Insulation questions, answered by experts

Upgrading insulation offers several benefits, including improved energy efficiency, which leads to lower heating and cooling costs. It also enhances indoor comfort by regulating temperature and can provide noise reduction. Additionally, better insulation has a reduced environmental impact and can increase your home's value and overall livability.

Several types of insulation are effective for crawl spaces, with spray foam and rigid foam boards being two of the best options. Closed-cell spray foam insulation is a strong choice because it effectively repels moisture, resists biological growth, seals the air, and provides excellent thermal protection, especially in hard-to-reach areas. Rigid foam insulation boards are another excellent material as they insulate well, resist water damage, and will not settle over time like fiberglass or cellulose.

Energy-efficient homes generally have higher appraisals and appeal to buyers.

If you’re using faced insulation with paper, face the paper toward the inside of the room during the installation process.

A good way to remember this is that the paper should face the “warm side” as it’s the vapor barrier, meaning it should face toward where the heat will be coming from.

Ductwork should be wrapped in insulation in certain locations. This includes unconditioned interior parts of the home, such as attics, crawl spaces, basement ceilings, and between floors. Duct joints should also be insulated since they're more likely to leak air than other parts of your system. Building codes in some areas also require ductwork to be insulated.
