"David worked independently on our project as his schedule allowed since he was also committed to other projects already. I appreciated him being able to fit our several projects in over the course of several weeks. We have a vacant house that needed repairs in order to prepare to sell the home to prospective buyers. Davis sent me updates by text and pictures of the projects before and after."

"Brian contacted me promptly to set up a time for an onsite inspection of the ceiling repairs work needed to be done. He identified the particular method of applying a patterned texture that would need to be used for the repair to have it match the existing ceiling. While there, he provided a firm price quote that was reasonable, especially given his ability to do the work within a couple of weeks. The work was completed very professionally, with several visits to allow for curing and finishing steps to be done properly. The results were excellent!"

"Very customer oriented. Meticulous work . Happy to accommodate our schedule to finish project before an event at our house. They also painted our kitchen and made sure everything was back in place. Same with staining the deckà  à  à  à  à  à  à  à ¢à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à ¦everything back in place and gas lines for grill and fire table hooked back up. Drywall questions, answered by experts

It’s highly recommended to use studs for a TV mount. The last thing you want is to be watching your favorite show when the TV falls off the wall. Studs are much stronger than drywall and quite a bit stronger than drywall anchors but, if you can’t find the studs or there simply aren’t any where you need them, you can use drywall anchors. It’s extremely important to make sure the anchors are rated for the load of the TV. We recommend using anchors that are rated far beyond the weight of whatever you’re hanging. Our suggestion is metal drywall toggle anchors.

The age of your home can clue you in to whether you have plaster or drywall ceilings. Homes built after the ‘70s are more likely to have drywall ceilings and walls, while older homes have plaster. You can also do the pushpin test: A pushpin will go into drywall, whereas it’s much harder to push one into a plaster wall. If you’re still unsure, ask a drywall professional to let you know which type of ceilings and walls you have.

If you want to reduce sound transmission throughout your home, soundproofing drywall is a better choice than standard drywall. However, simply installing soundproofing drywall may not completely block out noise. You’ll get the best results from incorporating it into a larger soundproofing plan that includes proper insulation and framing studs.

Whether you need drywall anchors depends on your specific project, particularly where you are hanging an item. Drywall anchors are not necessary if you can drive a screw directly into a wooden stud behind the wall, as the stud provides sufficient support. However, since studs are not present everywhere in a wall, you will need to use drywall anchors if you are hanging an object in a location without a stud. For very lightweight items, picture hanging strips can also be a suitable alternative.

Applying plaster to a wall will usually cost between $2 and $10 per square foot for both the material and labor. The cost will vary based on the quality of the plaster you’re using and whether or not prep work is required before the work begins. Wall prep can add up to about 10% to your total costs. Plastering exterior walls can be more expensive in many cases because they are taller and require scaffolding and safety equipment.
