"Brian contacted me promptly to set up a time for an onsite inspection of the ceiling repairs work needed to be done. He identified the particular method of applying a patterned texture that would need to be used for the repair to have it match the existing ceiling. While there, he provided a firm price quote that was reasonable, especially given his ability to do the work within a couple of weeks. The work was completed very professionally, with several visits to allow for curing and finishing steps to be done properly. The results were excellent!"

"Very customer oriented. Meticulous work . Happy to accommodate our schedule to finish project before an event at our house. They also painted our kitchen and made sure everything was back in place. Same with staining the deckà  à  à  à  à  à  à  à ¢à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à  à ¦everything back in place and gas lines for grill and fire table hooked back up. It’s not a good idea to plaster over broken plaster (unless by broken you’re referring to cracked, in which case that’s perfectly fine). However, broken plaster can be a sign of a larger underlying issue like foundation damage or severe damage to the lath holding up the plaster, so it’s worth investigating before you simply plaster on top of the damage.

You can usually tell if you have plaster or drywall by touch (plaster is harder, colder, and smoother than drywall) or by tapping on it (drywall sounds hollow, plaster does not). If you still cannot tell, peek under an outlet cover and check the cut edges. The rough edges show the composition of the wall. You will see either drywall (two paper sheets sandwiching gypsum material) or only plaster material (no paper sheets).

If you only have tiny holes in your drywall (for example, dents or nail marks), you probably won’t need a patch kit. Instead, you can plug the hole with a small amount of spackle. Once the spackle dries, you can sand the area and paint over it—just like you would in the steps outlined above.
