"Great. Although Jason didn't come on the day he stated ( mixup on someone's part), he did an excellent job sealing our driveway. He thoroughly cleaned cracks before filling them. We have tried other companies in the past but JC has by far done the best job."

"I HIGHLY recommend Alsonso Landscape Service. I received 4 quotes from area landscapers prior to selecting Alonso. Of the 4 they were the only ones to get my quote back to me within 24 hours and it was by far the most detailed. Even offering suggestions that I hadn't thought of to maximize my space. I couldn't be happier with the way the project turned out. Prices were fair and the team was very friendly."

"Tedroy removed the old sidewalk and prepared it well, using a kind of steel reinforcement bars (not regular highway rebars, which are heavier than necessary for a sidewalk, I think). I didn't see him pour the concrete, but he smoothed it out and shaped the edges nicely. Then he brushed it to improve winter traction."

"Daniels Landscaping exceeded our expectations. They responded immediately when I called and asked for a quote. They listened to my expectations and provided a reasonable price and timeline for completion. They did an excellent job, made sure it was done correctly, and also followed through with me when the work was done. I cannot say enough of how grateful I am for the quality of their work and how nice it was to work with them throughout the whole process."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

With proper maintenance, asphalt milling driveways can last 30 years or more. Over time, you’ll need to regularly sealcoat your driveway. You should also have your driveway inspected every few years and make any repairs as soon as they are necessary; this will prolong the lifespan of your driveway.

Depending on project size, typically 1 to 3 days, including preparation and installation.

New asphalt typically needs 24 to 72 hours to dry before it can handle light foot traffic and careful driving. Although it may appear solid after a few days, the full curing process, where the asphalt reaches its peak strength, takes much longer—generally from 30 days to a year.

During this extended curing time, the surface remains relatively soft and can be damaged by heavy vehicles, sharp objects, or high temperatures. To protect your investment, it's best to avoid parking heavy machinery on the asphalt until it has fully cured.

The exact time required for drying and curing depends on several factors, including the weather, the specific asphalt mix, and its thickness. For the most accurate advice tailored to your situation, consult with your asphalt contractor.

The average cost of 1,500 square feet of asphalt ranges from about $10,500 to $22,500, depending on location, thickness, base material, and how accessible the job site is to crews and equipment. Keep in mind that your asphalt material cost may vary depending on its type, ranging from porous asphalt to heated blacktop. Standard asphalt costs $7 to $13 per square foot.

Gravel is the most economical and least expensive driveway material, costing between $1 and $3 per square foot. This is significantly cheaper than alternatives like asphalt or concrete. However, it's important to consider long-term costs, as gravel driveways require regular maintenance. You will likely need to add new gravel filling once or twice a year and regularly rake it to keep it level, which can add to the overall cost over time.
