"Beware of Feldco. Misleading Sales Tactics. We had windows, siding, gutters, facet, soffiting, and a back door and storm door installed. Salesman stated two payments. 50% down to start the job and remaining due at completion and satisfaction of the jobs. They wanted payment after each job. Workers left two windows unframed with pine shims and spray foam insulation sticking out. Back door lock was installed crooked, bottom weather stripping was ripped up, and worker destroyed my original oak trim around the door and installed white trim in place of it. Siding crew didnt speak english and I came home to them installing insulation board over my existing siding instead of taking old siding off. They were caught not replacing old rotted facet boards and tried installing over rotted out wood. Vinyl trim around the windows was not even. They had to come out three times to caulk the same window. Workers put up new gutters with large black scrape on the front. Sales presentation is recorded, but will not provide a copy of audio to customer."

Before drywall came on the scene, plaster was the material of choice for interior walls. While drywall may be the more cost-effective choice in many cases, plaster may suit your aesthetic preferences better. Yes, any parts of drywall that are wet or overly moist will need to be replaced. Drywall is intended to be dry (it’s in the name, after all.), as excess moisture can lead to mold and mildew and eventually corrode your home’s foundational building pieces. Do regular inspections in your home to make sure all your plumbing is intact and in good condition—this will go a long way toward preventing leaks.

Furring strips, thin strips of wood or metal, are not always required for ceiling drywall installation. If the ceiling surface is even and in good condition, drywall can be directly attached to the ceiling joists using screws. However, furring strips become essential when dealing with irregular surfaces or when additional insulation or soundproofing is needed. They create a level substrate for attaching the drywall. Ultimately, the decision to use furring strips depends on the condition of the existing ceiling and the specific requirements of the project.

You’ll get better results if you soundproof the whole wall. A hole through which light can pass can also let sound waves in. Acoustical or silicone sealant applied to holes and cracks can block enough sound to make a difference. However, the more layers absorb vibrations and slow or stop sound waves, the less noise you’ll have. 

If you don’t have studs in the area where you want to install your TV mount, you may still be able to install a TV mount on drywall. The easiest way to install a mount on drywall is by using drywall anchors—but not just any plastic anchors. Choose molly bolts or toggle anchors, which have a weight capacity of around 50 pounds. For added support, consider pairing drywall anchors with a wall mounting plate. Extra heavy TVs may need to be mounted via the ceiling joists or beams.
