"The installation of a new central AC unit and gas furnace went well, however, there were a few discrepancies in what the sales person told me and the end result. For example, I was told the furnace would be installed raised a few inches off of the basement floor, and it was not.
The installation took place in summer, and the furnace was not used until late fall. When fall came around and the furnace didn't work, I had to call Harker back for service several times. At least two major parts were replaced on the brand new unit. I had to negotiate a longer warranty period (they initially scoffed at this, but I was persistent) because I didn't trust that the furnace would last.
The AC unit also had issues within the first three years.
While Harker did their best to fix the problems after they arose, they didn't really seem to care about me as a customer. After they were paid, they pretty much just forgot about me.

"I pay $75 annually for a certain amount of appliances to be covered. What we didn't know is that you still have to pay a service call fee and if the technician deems the appliance still functional they will not fix it and if the technician says there is nothing wrong with the appliance, they will not fix it. In other words, the appliance has to be completely broken in order for them to fix it."

Appliance Sales questions, answered by experts

The best deodorizer for a refrigerator is baking soda because it absorbs smells and neutralizes the air. You can also use citrus fruits, oatmeal, vanilla extract, activated carbon, and distilled white vinegar as a deodorizer in your refrigerator. Place one of these deodorizers in a bowl or cup in the back of your fridge to let it absorb odors.

Although some oven doors have screws in them that hold the handle or the glass in place, you should not remove these screws. Your oven’s hinges should pull loose without the need to remove the screws. If you are repairing your oven door, though, you may need to remove some screws.

You may not be able to recycle certain types of electronics. Some examples of electronics that might be rejected from the recycling process are LCD televisions, LCD computer monitors, and older televisions with mercury.

Convection ovens can run longer baking cycles without drying the food out, and the fan and vent ensure even heat distribution in all directions. Therefore, a convection oven is perfect for roasting a large chunk of meat or cooking multiple items on different racks at the same time. Convection ovens also take less time to preheat, making them a great timesaver.

As with TVs and other types of electronic waste, dispose of appliances responsibly by checking local recycling programs or waste facilities. You can also consider donating working appliances to charities or utilizing manufacturer take-back programs. Remember that improper disposal causes environmental harm and contributes to electronic waste pollution, so recycle responsibly.
