"Our 20 year old Armstrong has a failure last year which Droegkamp repaired. This year had another problem. Considering the age of the unit and the upcoming change in AC coolants we bit the bullet and purchased a new 2.5 ton Lennox unit. We got an appointment for an installation about 10 days away (it couldn't get here soon enough). The crew arrived at 8:30 on the designated. They removed the old unit, strung new hoses to the furnace unit, did a bit of duct fabrication, and were on the way to their next job by noon. They were very efficient, kept us in the loop about what they were going to do, and worked around piles of boxes that hadn't been moved in 20 years. They did a great job and they are now our regular HVAC choice."

"Swimmingly. I interviewed quite a number of HVAC companies for this job by sending out an RPF (Request for Proposal), and Bob Mamayek was unquestionably the most thorough in his on-site evaluation. Installation crew was fantastic. This is a small shop, and it was a true pleasure to have a team of regular guys just getting the job done. I recommend them without reservation. I almost gave them a B for responsiveness because Bob doesn't do a lot of email, but I realized while typing that this would be completely unfair, for two reasons. A) Bob might not respond to email with email, but he did always respond with a phone call. Frankly, that is better on many counts. B) This ignores the amazing response to my RPF, which was both timely and thorough. So, really, this says more about my email-centric life than Mamayek's responsiveness."

When I called Bob he returned my phone call the same day & proceeded to help us resolve the problem. We now have a new furnace & since it was older we decided to have them take care of the air conditioner at the same time. "We called Midwest heating and cooling because our furnace was not turning on and heating and the day before when it was on the back of the unit was hot. They came out next day in a timely manner. Very polite and Friendly. Did a diagnostic look at and explained me what was wrong. Along with what he did to fix the issue. Our technician took lots of pictures as to how it looked when he started what his meters were saying with the numbers. Along with what it looked like when done. We got all of that emailed to us and is kept on file if they ever have to come out for something else so the same tech or another tech sees what was done the last time they came out. Our tech Ken explained what all the numbers ment on his picture so we understood things clearly. Told us about a membership program they offer to help out the customer and give them peace mind the next time you need something done. Ken was very knowledgeable and very kind. Would highly recommend."

"The owner of Guardian Heating and Cooling, LLC (Steve Peterson) and one of his sons (Adam) did an AWESOME job installing a new, high-efficiency, gas-fired Laars combi-boiler at my residence! If the new unit continues to perform as well as it is presently, and Guardian service continues to be this excellent in the years ahead, I will be a happy camper and pat myself on the back for having been smart enough to hire them. :-) The unit they replaced was built by a highly-regarded manufacturer that had been installed by another highly regarded contractor by the previous owners of my home. As it turned out, the previous heating unit was a money pit and the previous contractors technical abilities left much to be desired. Each heating season, the previous boiler experienced one significant failure after another. The previous contractor kept changing parts without digging into **why** the parts were failing. They simply said I should accept this, since the unit was **old**. Unhappy with this response, I decided to cut my losses. To the rescue: Guardian Heating and Cooling! While not the least expensive contractor, Steve, and Son exceeded my expectations simply by meeting them! They arrived one time and did everything they said they were going to do. With unseasonably cold weather in October, I was initially a bit apprehensive at the prospect of having no heat for a few days while a replacement system was installed. I wondered if they would be able to complete this project in a timely manner, as they said they would. My worries were for naught. There were no surprises and no surprise expenses ... no nickle-and-diming when Guardian needed an extra part or fitting ... no drama. Guardian simply got the job done. And they did it beautifully. They took care to minimize the time I would be without water and without heat. After installation, they thoroughly tested the unit. The next day, they checked back to ensure that I was satisfied with its performance. They also cleaned up reasonably when they were done and were carefully not to damage my property, as they moved large, heavy pieces of equipment and tools around. In summary: a big Thumbs Up for Guardian heating and Cooling, LLC!"
