2017 years of experience

Beginning in 2017, Happy Home Remodeling, LLC has been offering interior and exterior residential remodeling services to homeowners and real estate investors. We are fully insured, licensed dwelling contractor by the state of Wisconsin. We are investors and flippers ourselves, who specialize in buying broken houses and completing extensive remodels to create high end rentals. We offer remodeling services to homeowners looking to transform their home into a new vision. Between 2017 and 2022, we flipped 18 houses and completed dozens of remodeling projects for customers. Roofing, Siding, Windows and Doors, Kitchens, Bathrooms, Walls and Floors, We have the experience and expertise to make your vision a reality.

"Everyone who worked on my project were subcontractors. The contact person’s contracting company did not do a good job, then tried 3 times to fix it by remudding and painting. It truly was unacceptable drywall installation. This doubled the length of the project. Corners were cut, critical steps were not done. I was left finally with a finished project done correctly by another drywall installer. It was not a pleasant experience, and I do not recommend them."

"It was the most horrible experience I have ever had. Started 2 months after completion date. Contractor screaming at Sider and fired him, Sider Cliff refused to put tabs on the top J channel, Howard even showed a video from mfg, Sider refused to install correctly . When gutters were installed ladders where put up against the new window wraps dented just about all of them. Howard refused to replace them said it might cause more damage if fixed right. He had used bondo to fill in dents. Window wraps look terrible tried to call Howard refuses to answer or return my calls. Going to seek legal counsel. Be aware of this fast talking back."

"ordered custom pella window in AUG 2022 with quoted 8-10w LT. Follwed up after 12+ wks for update on order only to learn rep not with Pella. Took a couple of days of calls and email to showroom for a response / update. We received communication that our order had material back-ordered and our window wouldn't be installed until Feb 2023. I then requested the sales mgr (Matt S***) contact me to discuss what actions had been taken to mitigate the LT and for a parts list of what was holding up our order. After a week of being ignored, drove the 50m to the showroom to get a response, which I did. Matt did reach me to confirm our 8-10wk order would not be honoured and he could not provide the requested information. Further, after I injected I have to consider cancelling the order he stated "that would come with a restock charge of several hundred $$$) which was BS because the clause on the order stated a right to cancel with 3wk notice. Our order by this time was 3+ months past due. Would recommend investing efforts to find competitor to the franchise. Of positive note: The contracted installation crew was best in class, highly professional and delivered exceptional workmanship and attention to quality and cleanliness. Couldn't be more satisfied with the product they delivered. Will write their review after this post."

Carpentry questions, answered by experts

New builds, remodels, and additions often necessitate professional framing expertise.

In framing, studs are placed at 16-inch intervals to coincide with the typical spacing of wall materials such as drywall or plywood. This spacing is called "on-center" and is necessary for maintaining structural stability and efficient use of materials. The 16-inch spacing also helps to distribute the weight evenly across the building's structure. For those looking to cut material costs and improve energy efficiency, 24-inch stud spacing can be employed through a method called "advanced framing". This requires careful planning and adherence to local building codes to ensure structural integrity.

Carpenters are trained to take on a wide range of home projects. You can hire a carpenter to do framing, roofing, build custom furniture, and make significant upgrades to your home. General carpenters are usually able to handle most jobs. However, you may also choose to hire a carpenter who specializes in a specific type of carpentry.

There are both temporary and permanent ways to enclose a carport. If you’re looking to enclose your carport for the winter, a canvas enclosure could do the trick. It won’t be as protective as a permanent structure, but it can offer some protection from elements like snow, rain, and wind. For a permanent enclosure, you can add extra walls, add a new vertical roof, or a lean-to addition on one side of the structure.

Learning how to frame a house includes picking the right lumber for the job. Most people will want to pick pine, spruce, or fir for the framing. These types of lumber are affordable and produce sturdy framing for structures. Look for kiln-dried lumber to reduce the risk of shrinkage or insect damage after installation. As part of what’s included in framing a house when you hire a professional, the contractor should order the lumber, so you don’t have to worry about finding the right lumber.
