"Yes, the job was well done and on time. We had a problem with the tile and grout in our walk-in shower. He explained what the problems were with the original installation and then cleaned the tile and replaced the grout. He also installed shower bars which will help us from falling in the shower. We highly recommend this gentleman."

"Hired Tile Decor to do some tile work for our bathroom that badly needed a Reno. As someone who doesnâ t know much about home improvement, tile decor were very professional and were super communicative and transparent of the process. They were also very patient with all the questions I asked. Iâ d recommend them and will be reaching out with future projects."

"I had ceramic tile installed, vanity replaced, and drywall patched. The work was done faster than expected and the quality is good. I requested that painting of the whole bathroom be added to the project at the last minute and my request was accommodated."

"We had three moderate areas to tile: largest one, the master bath included a heating system I'm very pleased with Kevin went out of his to accommodate me, even taking two doors of the hinges trimming the bottoms to clear the tile."

"We needed to re-grout our shower. They were a little higher priced than other bids, but had great reviews, so figured was worth the cost. It was. They were quick to schedule, quick to do the work. The work looks great and there was a minor imperfection that I sent them the day after. They were back withing 24 hours to fix it. I recommend."

"Vasiliy handled the demo, wall prep, and tile for my bathtub/ shower area and did an awesome job. He showed up when he said he would, worked quickly AND carefully, and was a pleasure to have in my home. (He was even nice to my "helpful" dog!) I'm likely moving in the next year and my first call for any construction/ remodel needs will definitely be VNV and Vasiliy!"

"Martin came over to look at the job (new porcelain tile floor) and was very helpful with advice and suggestions. He then provided an estimate within a few hours. I gave the green light and Vasily and his team came over within a couple of days and did an amazing job with the installation! Better than I could have imagined. The floor and room look stunning. The team then did a great clean up of the job site and Martin came back to do a final inspection and to make sure I was happy with everything. This is a great team. If you need flooring work, look no further."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

It’s easiest to start from an edge as it gives you a straight line. A problem may arise if your edge doesn’t line up perfectly, in which case it’s best to start from the center. Some think that starting tile from the center adds a focal point in the center of the hearth.

Yes, you can tile over existing shower tiles, but it's better to remove the old tiles first for the best results. Tiling over existing tiles requires a clean, level surface and proper adhesion. If the old tiles are in good condition, you can roughen the surface to improve adhesion. However, removing the old tiles ensures a smoother, longer-lasting finish and prevents potential issues down the line.

Regrouting is cheaper than retiling, and it involves less work. Grout is available in a wide range of colors, making it a cost-effective way to improve the look of any tiled area in your home.

The easiest tile size to install is large tiles, and they’re easier to install than small tiles—the job is faster and simpler when there’s less placing, adhering, and grouting to do. However, when tiles get really big, they’re more difficult to handle, cut, and fit. Standard floor tile sizes are 12-by-12 inches, 18-by-18 inches, and 12-by-24 inches.

Porcelain countertops have a fairly long life span, sometimes lasting for decades. Depending on how much wear and tear you put your countertops through, it could last 25 to 50 years. But be warned, porcelain is also prone to cracking, so as long as you take good care of it, you’ll have those countertops looking brand new for years to come.
