PODS makes moving and storage more convenient and flexible. We deliver a container. You load it. We move it across town or across the country, or we can store it in one of our secure Storage Centers. Additional DBA - PODS Enterprises Inc.

"All went well until I requested the POD to be delivered. We are now in Port Ludlow Wa a n d they refuse to deliver it to our house. I will have to rent a U Haul unload the POD and drive the stuff to our new home and then return the U Haul. This is a royal pain in the rear."

We are a locally owned and operated moving company based in Lynnwood, WA. We offer Residential moving, office relocation, downsizing and junk removal services. UTC Permit # HG-064060

"Predatory behavior. DO NOT USE THEM!! One of the employees left a note with his phone number in my bed, under my sheets. This was such a violation. Predatory behavior by someone in my home that I should have been able to trust. When I called the owner Alex to let him know he said the employee admitted to putting the note in my bed under my sheets. Then said I would need to take it up with the employee as the employee said I was flirting with him. I wasn’t flirting. The conversation then got turned by Alex to flirting or not. The issue was his employee went in my room, lifted up my bed sheets and put a note there!! I felt more violated after speaking to Alex as he in no uncertain words told me I was asking for it because his employer said I was flirting. This has been a very traumatizing experience. I no longer feel safe in my new home. I do not recommend using them. With the employees showing predatory behavior and the owner blaming a woman for the man’s predatory behavior. I would no stars if it allowed me to"

Moving questions, answered by experts

The simplest way to move a shipping container yourself is with a tilt-bed truck. However, you’ll still need to figure out how to get the container on and off the truck.

To move your couch through a narrow doorway, remove the interior door to create more space. Measure your couch and the doorway beforehand to ensure it will fit. Then, tap out the hinge pins with a nail and shift the door sideways to remove it from its hinges.

It’s best to book local movers about three months in advance to ensure your moving date is available, as most of the time, you’ll have a fairly tight window for moving your belongings. When booking your moving date, provide your moving team with as much detailed information as possible to prepare for the big day. Let your movers know an estimate of how many boxes they’ll move, any large or bulky items, number of bedrooms in your current home, the type of moving vehicle, and more.

The lowest-cost days to move are Monday through Thursday. Many people move on weekends for convenience, so weekdays are often more affordable for hiring movers or renting a moving truck. Ask your local moving company if they offer any discounts for certain times of the year or days of the week.

Yes, it’s possible, but it’s important to be extremely careful, and always remove rocks and heavier hardscape items. Drain all the water from the tank, leaving just enough to keep the gravel slightly submerged to keep your bacteria alive. Then, grab a helper or two and carefully lift the tank from either side, supporting the bottom and keeping it level. If the tank is especially heavy, consider slipping plywood underneath to minimize pressure on the glass. Be sure to pack it so it stays level and doesn’t shift during transit.
