We were originally going to go with Allied moving company but we're uncomfortable with that moving compa n's policy to charge the entire estimated amount (which was $6000) upfront. The week of our scheduled move we were desperately trying to find different movers. Mitchell Moving was one of the few movers who returned our calls. They bent over backwards to accommodate us. The day before the move we had to cancel because my husband and I both got sivk, and Mitchell Moving again was flexible with us. The movers arrived earlier then estimated on the day of the move (something we were appreciative of). They packed the last remaining items and put all of our stuff in the truck and we're out of there within a few hours. We were driving down to California in our cars and we left Seattle Saturday evening and arrived in Rocklin very early Monday morning, and the moving truck was there Monday morning at around 9 am. None of our things were damaged, everything was accounted for. Moving is never a good experience and you hear all those horror stories about moving companies holding people's things random or expensive items and quot;disappearingand quot;, so as far as moving experiences go, we felt pretty lucky. Mitchell moving was so flexible with us and our stuff arrived so quickly (it was actually in Rocklin on Sunday but we told the driver we were still driving down and he was very nice and said they would just drop it off on Monday). The best part: the estimate for our move from Mitchell Moving was approx. $6000 and the actual total came in well below that ($4660) so they are clearly arrived honest moving company as well.
