We feel we had an open and honest relationship with Mr. Sallee, who was willing to answer questions and discuss issues as they arose. Above all, we feel that his first priority was our best interests. Despite our never-ending changes to original contract terms, he kept reminding us of the ultimate costs involved and telling us that our changes could well result in his not being able to complete the project to the contract terms. It is to his credit and attention to detail that he was able to complete enough of our project to pass our occupancy inspection and provide enough further work within budget to the point that our do-it-ourselves work will be mostly cosmetic. To us, the basic structural work and integration of heating and cooling, ventilation, electrical, plumbing, auxiliary heating, intercoms, cabling, and built-in central vacuum systems was nothing short of amazing. What we ended up with is a house that is tight, comfortable, and efficient. It has a heat pump mini-split system, heat recovery ventilation system, water filtering and softening system, and heated floors under the tiled bathroom floors. Once programmed and set, these systems provide a stable, comfortable, and healthy interior environment that adjusts to daily and weekend activity and occupancy levels in the house. Overrides are available options for increased ventilation during meal preparation or ventilating the bathrooms after showers. Although it is not a fully integrated, computer-monitored and enabled system, we are quite satisfied with how well it all works in our house. We feel that Mr. Sallee's choice of subs contributed to how well these systems were incorporated into the construction of our house. If we heard any criticism of Mr. Sallee's work it was, to some casual observers, a bit slower than they were accustomed to. It was also one of my initial impressions. However, I eventually concluded that time spent to insure fit and finish was often time saved in ensuing stages of construction. For example, the time the framers spent making sure that the subfloor was square and level allowed them to cut all the wall studs to the same length, assemble everything on the subfloor deck, and be certain that it would all fit perfectly, within tolerances and plumb, once they raised the walls. So in relative terms, the framing of the walls benefited from the care and time spent on the subfloor. The sill, truss, pony wall, post and beam, and cross-truss blocking are so well-fastened and glued that we have detected only one small squeaky spot throughout the house. The finished flooring is dead level so the tile setter had an easier time installing the roll-in/roll-out shower pan and we are having an easy time fitting built-ins and other finish work. We found that Mr. Sallee's bid came in just a bit higher than two other contractors we also asked for bids. There is no way for us to know how things would have gone with either of the other contractors if we had chosen one of them instead of Mr. Sallee, and it is possible that everything we have said about our experience with him would also have extended to them, but we continue to be happy with the job he did for us. We remain on good terms with him and are happy to see him from time to time around Sequim. We wish him well and would recommend him to others who are looking for a general contractor for remodeling and new construction work. Repaired/fixed bad fuel pump assembly that resides in the fuel tank. This problem is apparently difficult to diagnose, because there could be an electrical issue rather than the pump itself, and the problem can be there one day and not show itself later, and then crop up again. So, that was...

Hello, I have been in the industry for over ten years. I started out in a cabinet shop where I learned quality and craftsmanship. I then spent years in general construction learning about many other aspects of the trade such as efficiency and economy. Whether you need a picture hung, a cabinet built, a small remodel done, or anything random tackled I would be honored to help.

FAQs for grill assembly projects in Sequim, WA
The average cost to hire a handyman ranges from about $40 to $140 per hour. Average project cost ranges between $180 and $700, but the cost per hour and per project depends heavily on the type, size, and complexity of the project. The pro’s experience level and your location also factor into how much a handyman charges per hour or per project. You can also expect to pay higher rates or additional fees for emergency services, or around periods of high customer demand, like holidays.
The cost of a gas grill burner ranges from $10 to $100 or more, depending on the brand. If you’re replacing one burner, consider replacing all the burners simultaneously. Although it will cost more upfront, it will save you the hassle of replacing a burner every few months, and your grill will cook more evenly and efficiently.
If your grill is relatively new or under warranty, it’s worth fixing. If the warranty has run out, find the cost of parts (usually a burner or grate that’s rusted out). If the parts cost more than half the price of a new grill, it’s worth buying a new one.
However, if your gas grill is a built-in unit as part of an outdoor kitchen, contact the grill manufacturer or distributor to check on warranty coverage. You should also contact a local gas grill repair technician to get an estimate for repairs or a price to replace your built-in grill.
Yes, you should hire a handyman who’s licensed, certified, and insured, if possible. States have different requirements for handyman licensing, registration, and certifications. If licensing is required in your area, you may pay more for a licensed handyman with experience than one who is not licensed or certified, but you’re likely to get a better end result for your project. Be sure to check our state licensing tool to review the local handymen guidelines.
On average, a gas grill can last from five to 15 years. Most grill manufacturers offer an extended warranty, varying in coverage and terms. You can help extend the life of your grill by cleaning it inside and out to remove food, grease, and carbon deposits. Protect your gas grill from the elements with a grill cover to prevent it from rusting, lessening the frequency of repairs.
