Small jobs welcome

"Aleks was outstanding. He worked with us to create a custom tile design in our bathroom with hex tile floor, and subway tile around the vanity. He was very professional and very good at his work. He gave input on the project and helped us create our dream bathroom. His approach was as if he was doing the project in his own home, thoughtful, and done properly. Price was very fair for the quality of work. He has been in the tile industry for over 16 years and now has started his own company. He was clean, respectful, and a joy to have working in the home. Truly a nice guy. I will be hiring him again for shower tile work and our new kitchen remodel."

"John did an amazing job we needed some tile work done and he truly did an amazing job and made it look like we had our bathtub remodeled, I would highly recommend him to anybody that is looking for quality work. He definitely puts a lot of time into what he does and that goes along ways. I definitely will be using him for a kitchen project. I have in the next several months. Thank you again, John."

"I canâ t say enough great things about this company. We were moving into our new home that we had just purchased when we realized that the carpet was beyond disgusting. We hadnâ t noticed it before because they had big area rugs. We had to sleep downstairs in the living room because we could not even go upstairs it was so gross. We met with Tyler the day after we moved in. He presented a lot of options. He is knowledgeable, professional and friendly. We were originally scheduled for the following Saturday for install but lucky for us somebody canceled. Our install was scheduled for Wednesday which was just five days after our quote . The installers did an amazing job. They were quick, efficient and super nice. We are so happy with the entire process. The carpet is gorgeous. No need to look any further than this company."

Ceramic Tile questions, answered by experts

Add a T-shaped spacer to each corner of a tile when placing it. You’ll want to nudge the tiles closer together so the spacers are touching each corner. When you’re done installing your tile, you can remove each spacer, wash them, and use them for your next project.

Tile will almost always last longer than laminate flooring, regardless of the type of tile installed. Porcelain tile can last for 75 years or more with proper care, and even less durable ceramic tile will last for 60 years or more, provided they’re installed by a tile professional. On the other hand, laminate flooring has an average lifespan of around 20 years, and you might only get 10 to 15 years out of low-cost laminate flooring. As such, tile will add far more value to your home than laminate.

If the hearth ends against a wall, you can use a tile cutter as you normally would. However, if the edge of your hearth ends with no surface pressing against it,you may want to look into rounded tiles. These give a smooth edge to your hearth and make sure cut edges aren’t visible. You can also see if the tile you have has pieces that have been glazed or rounded on one edge. You’d then cut the tile and place it normally, with the cut edge facing inward.

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all best tile for a dog shower. Consider your budget, tile durability, aesthetics, and, most importantly, practicality. Avoid tiles your dog will slide around on. Pebbles are a great non-slip option, but are pricey and tricky to install. Glass might look modern, but it’s not scratch-resistant. Small, floor-rated ceramic or porcelain tiles are economical and have many grout lines that make the surface more slip-resistant. Pick a matte finish rather than a shiny tile if you want it to hide stray mud and hairs better.

Tile installation can be expensive because it requires more time and labor to install than many other materials. For example, laminate flooring can click and lock into place, and carpet comes in large rolls that you can secure to the floor. On the other hand, tiles need to be cut, laid individually, grouted, and left to cure.
