"OMG I love my new fence, they came when they said they would. They did the work, cleaned up all the mess and I am so excited to allow my large breed dog outside now. Not to worry if the kids next door will tease or bother me or my dog again. 6 feet high and privacy slates is the way to go, I am bragging to everyone I know, LOVE LOVE LOVE my fence and the price was prefect. Thank you, Duke for doing such a wonderful job. I will call you again if I need to upgrade my chainlink."

"The job that Midway Fence did for us exceeded what we hoped for. Ramon is a great fence builder and finished the job in 3 days just like he said he would. We couldnâ t be more impressed with our new cedar fence! It was such a nice and positive experience to have a dependable and knowledgeable business owner help us have all of our needs met in the new fence. We liked his employee, Jose, too. Both the owner and his employee worked hard! We are going to have Midway Fence replace another section of fence for us soon. Would highly recommend this fence company for their reasonable pricing/bid, their integrity to finish the job on time, and for their exceptional work ethic. I was able to look through a notebook of photos of fences that Ramon has previously built for customers and was amazed by the quality of his work. You canâ t go wrong with hiring this company! They are trustworthy and you will be satisfied with their work."

"It went well. We had contacted 3 companies back in the spring to get estimates. We called the top 2 when we were ready to proceed. Richard, the owner of All American Fencing, understood our needs the best and offered his insight and expertise. There was a lot of back and forth until we decided definitively what we wanted. All of the crew who were on our property were friendly, informative, and very hard working. They worked in the wind and rain. Richard was easy to work with. Three-quarters through the job we requested an addition and he was able to accommodate us. The job came in on budget and one day earlier than expected! Will work with again."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

Paint your fence, install customized fence slats, or attach a bamboo screen for a more appealing yard aesthetic. Paint can give your yard a unique and fun look, and adding fence slats gives you a classic fence appearance. Bamboo screens are probably the most unique option that can add a fun vibe to your space.

Because this composite fencing and deck material is made from both wood and plastic, it’s more durable than either alone. It’s so popular for outdoor purposes because it really does stand the test of time. Heavy rain and high heat won’t greatly change its structural integrity; it can last up to 25 years in total with proper care.

The regulations for pool fence heights vary by state, so be sure to research what the legal, minimum height is in your area before purchasing or installing a fence. Though every region is different, generally a pool fence must be at least 4 and ½ feet high. If you’re unsure whether you need a fence around your pool, and how high that fence should be, contact a local pool enclosure expert to help you successfully, and safely, move forward.

Ideally, your concrete should set slightly above ground at an angle sloping away from the fence post. This will add extra support and allow water to run away from the wood fence post. Keeping water out will help prevent wood rot. Additionally, you can add soil on top of the concrete for a seamless finish.

Painting or staining protects fences from environmental damage, enhances durability, and improves curb appeal with a fresh, customized look.
