"I went through like 3 other chimney groups including Chimney Sweep Masters and they all gave me conflicting information. Emerald City Chimney on the other hand was honest and thoroughly dismantled all the b******* the others tried to sell me. That’s what happens when you actual experienced workers take the lead instead of salespeople. It took a while to figure out exactly what the best approach would be, but in the end I got a job done for like $650 when the others wanted like $3000. I bought a custom fit chimney cap myself for like $200 I think and then had emerald city retrofit and install it for $450."

"I get a ball park estimate for cleaning one chimney in a single story house (150$), then the technician comes, starts with 429$ for basic cleaning, then finds ?a lot of issues ? with the chimney, and gives an estimate of 12k! Technician did not use any probe, or even flashlight to check the chimney, only the phone flashlight! Overall, overpriced, not tidy or high quality service, and lacks transparency with the pricing. Search around more."

"DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! We were contacted by Avi after using Angi's List. He said he was in the area and could swing by for an estimate. Once here he suggested we get the leak from our skylight fixed immediately. We agreed, signed a contract then paid a deposit. Work was to start the next day. We then get a call, parts won't be in for four days, but crew will load up and be here Monday with the parts. Monday comes around, no crew. I call late morning and am assured crew will be there. They show up with caulk. I call Avi, he explains they don't have the parts, and don't know when they will, he comes down and tarps the leak. He offers to pay for a new skylight if I don't leave a bad review. I tell him just fix the leak as agreed. One week goes by, he texts me they can't fix it and offer to refund me. What a waste of two weeks! At least I got a tarp out of the deal. What roofing company can't fix a leak from a skylight? I have a complete text log from with all the excuses to why they can't do this job for all those future customers to enjoy. It does make for a good laugh at the back pedaling from Avi."
